I operate my home-built ASUS X570S AORUS MASTER with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor. One of the four possible NVMe drives is directly on the CPU bus. The other three are a bit slower but still operate at incredible transfer rates. I bought this PNY NVMe to replace an ailing Samsung 1TB 970 EVO NVMe. Hard Disk Sentinel reported: "14 % of the reserved spare area used instead of the discovered bad sectors on the disk." It showed its health at 86%, still excellent, with 8 TB written in 609 days. I decided not to risk it and looked for a larger NVMe to replace it. In researching the best company's device to buy, so I looked at the other 4 NVMe drives in my system for ideas. My main NVMe drive for my C drive and Windows 11 operating system is a 1 TB Western Digital WDS100T1XHE-00AFY0. It has been operating for 1366 days, and its lifetime writes are 45 TB. Its health is at 98%, and it has a heat sink. This could be a good replacement, manufacturer-wise. It is on the main CPU bus. The next NVMe is a storage drive, a 2TB PNY CS2130. It has been operating for more than 1463 days and has written 6 TB. Its health is at 99% so that PNY would be a good choice. The last NVMe I used is a 1TB GIGABYTE GP-ASM2NE6100TTT. It has been operating for more than 1465 days and has written 7 TB. Its health is at 100% so that GIGABYTE would be an excellent choice. My decision was between GIGABYTE and PNY. Best Buy had the PNY 4TB drive for $297 on Black Friday(now $405 - gotta love those tariffs), so this was the obvious choice. Hard Disk Sentinel reports this new 4TB PNY NVMe to be excellent, with no bad sectors and operating at 58 °C without a heatsink in normal ops. I saw it rise to 70 °C when I transferred the entire 1TB of data from the Samsung NVMe drive to it, so it is working well within expected temperature ranges. External-to-internal transfer rates are enormous. External USB-C to Internal PNY 4TB is high - 400MB/sec for some transfers. Internals are all over the place, as internal bus operations, file size, number, etc., all determine the speed. Using ATTO Disk Benchmark, 64KB files write at 2.9 GB/sec and read at 4.24 GB/sec. I was running Amazon Music, Thunderbird email, and many other background programs at the time of the test. Larger files operate at about 6GB/sec read/write. Overall, I am pleased with this drive. I hope it stands up to the usage as the other PNY drive has in my computer. The price was incredible at the time; I hope you can find one at or near that price.

I have three laptops with 2tb SSD each and wanted to replace them all with this 4tb. The price is fantastic because it very affordable. Though my laptops are 3x4 this 4x4 SSD works flawlessly. I'll use the replaced SSD as backups. I mainly bought these to increase space and store pictures from my camera. Worth the price and I'm surprised it doesn't run as hot as the Samsung SSDs

This SSD is so fast that my download speeds for large files increased 15% to 900MBps and reduced game load times by 9% compared to other SSDs. It's setup as an external drive and I have it connected by usb-c. It is in Insignia's external M.2. enclosure.

Got this because of price and never heard of brand but replaced my firecuda I had on my PS5 and seems to work better . No issues with it and so far so good

Switched from a Gen 3 to a Gen 4 with more space went from 1TB to 4TB let me tell you this thing is FAST you know when you first put data on your first NVME? That Speed boost was huge but this one was not Huge but you do notice a big diffrence so dont think a Gen 3 to Gen 4 upgrade is not worth the speed increase because I have seen it. Excellent fast SSD & great capacity for the price!

I love this SSD. The read/write speed definitely makes a huge difference over the previous NVMe I had before. I use it as a primary drive on my new pc and it is blazing fast. I highly recommend this drive for anyone looking for a speed upgrade.

Bestbuy was sold out for a few weeks and finally they got the item back in stock and still on sale. I replaced my Samsung 2tb pro series with the 4tb. The read and write was pretty similar. Definitely recommend it for your PS5

Brought them from Best Buy but have purchased before nvme is good but . PNY customer service is good but Western Digital is better . O way to update firmware on the drive the PNY software does not work . I returned them .

One of the least expensive 4TB gen4 m.2's out there. Very close to "up to" read & write speeds advertised. Almost twice as fast as my gen 3 2TB brandX it replaced. Did I mention it's FAST! Glad I got one before going out of stock. Five year warranty rocks. First PNY product and am impressed. Crystal Disk read - 7,083 mb/s Crystal Disk Write - 6721 mb/s
