Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the XLR8 Gaming Single Fan NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card's strong performance and effective cooling capabilities, frequently citing its ease of installation and good value for the price. However, some customers note that the card can be noisy under load and that the price point may be high for some users. The single fan design is a point of both praise for its compact size and criticism for its potential noise.

Great single fan GPU for small form factor cases

I believe when I purchased this the image of the 1650 was shown, but it is indeed the GTX 1660 SUPER OC Edition. Sure, it's a little louder than a dual or triple fan while playing a game for example, but not unbearable. This GPU also uses less power overall, another benefit if you're running a budget system. I always recommend using a fan speed controller, but even with auto speed this GPU does not get ridiculously hot. Remember, air flow in your case is extremely important for all internals regardless of your GPU. Intake/exhaust will benefit you so much.

Great GPU, and affordable. Performance keeps up with all modern gaming and work I do on my PC. No need to pay for larger and expensive models.

Yes, you can mine on it. 32 MH/s when you set the ram to -502 in MSI afterburner (seriously, it only got 22 out of the box). Power is very low, and it runs cool. The only issue per se is the current price. Jacked up, yes. Can’t sit for the chip shortage to end.

This card is many times faster than your top rated card from just a few years ago. Plus it has a footprint that is a lot smaller and runs cooler. Very stable; buying this plus doubling my memory will keep my desktop going for another year before having to upgrade everything!

Works surprisingly well for the size. With a single fan, i had my reservations. but it is consistent with 32 MH/s on ETH at around 58 C. i suppose it plays games, too...I should have bought more when they were cheaper...

Awesome card! Bought this to replace a dying 1070 and it runs way cooler and quieter while offering comparable performance. Works great at default settings but can handle some crazy OC. The small profile is very welcome since my case is kinda cramped.

I have this paired up with i710700k and game play on this thing is perfect. I have gone with OCs well over 2000MHZ without any issues. Temps are good with over clock never over 70c I get about 170-200 FPS on COD at 1080P

Really good GPU for the time being, shame with the price I can't call it budget like it originally was. Plays modern games at medium/high settings at well around at 100fps. Stays cool. No complaints

If you’re looking to start mining, this is probably the best bang for your buck considering it’s actually in stock at retail price. It competes with the 1660ti hashing nearly the same on ETH. The only thing to keep in consideration is that Best Buy is a *******. After purchasing more than one of these they will flag you for quantity limit abuse. I don’t resell them. I use them specifically for mining but when Best Buy flags you got quantity limit abuse, they will cancel every order you have open. They did this to me and canceled a 3070 that I literally spent WEEKS refreshing to get. Yeah these are alright but if you plan on purchasing toys for mining don’t do it at Best Buy. And if you have to do it at Best Buy, save your “quantity limit” purchases to get the best hardware like a 30 series graphics card

The chipset handles everything I’ve thrown at it so far. It will play ANY game at 60fps at 1080p with beautiful rendering and no lag or skips. I utilize two displays and am satisfied with the output availability. My one VERY MINOR concern is that the single fan cooler runs a little loud under times of extreme duress - but I cannot hear the fan at all with my headphones on. Additionally, the fan quiets back down after about a minute of no gameplay, and is otherwise practically silent. All in all I’m quite satisfied and would absolutely purchase this product again.

I put together a new Rig for myself trying to time the release of the RTX 3080 release (big mistake and thanks Nvidia for the paper release). After realizing that I wasn't going to be able to get my hands on a RTX 3080 anytime soon (hoping by the end of the year, but realistically looking like 2021), I needed to get my hands on a GPU in the mean time, so I zeroed on this one. I wouldn't say that this card will blow anyone away graphics wise. It definitely gets the job done at 1440p, but it's not going to make your jaw drop. The fan can get a little noisy when you're playing high demanding AAA title games however, so something to keep in mind. You're NOT going to get many of the latest games near 60 FPS on High Settings (haven't tried Ultra, but pretty sure it won't be playable) at 1440p but you can get FPS. This is a great card for a budget build. I would recommend it to anyone that isn't looking for the latest bleeding edge technology. If you have the extra 100 bucks, then I would definitely go with the RTX 2060 (non super), that way you future proof yourself a bit more. If you go with the RTX 2060 Super then you might also want to consider stretching your budget towards a 2070 or 2070 Super, but that's a whole other conversation. Understand that when you purchase this card, it is very possible that a few years down the line, this card may be struggling to keep up with the latest titles then.

Unique card for tiny builds. 1660 Super can use very little power and if underclocked properly this can be an awesome card for the micro PC.

I can't tell you how impressed I am with this GPU. Yes, it DOES get loud when the fan blows >75%. But if you can keep it below that range, you'll have a very competent, fast and power efficient GPU. Idle usage in my system hovers around 18w. I recommend this GPU for anyone who does 1080p gaming, or perhaps uses Nvidia's Turing processors for high-quality video transcoding (my personal use). Also, based on my research, you can expect around 31MH/s ETH mining (if that's your thing). All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. Now, PNY, about that freakin' loud fan...do better next time.

What a little powerhouse!!! The GPU shortage forced me to get this card, before I was trying to get a 3080! But I gotta say I love this little card, it's easily bridging the gap between me and the 3080 (or whatever is out by then). I feel very fortunate to have even got this at MSRP, but enough of that! Seriously get this card, it's dead quiet, stays cool, and plays every single game I throw at it without much issue. I even play games like Overwatch in 1440p at over 120 FPS!

Good enough in the current gpu market. I wish it were a 3060/3060ti but no reasonable price is to be found on those it mines as expected(about 30 Mh), but it isn't super profitable - 1 year ROI at current rates. The cooling looks very weak but in practice it performs well. Currently @ 58C while mining Eth I saw nothing unexpected during installation. The card works well for 1080p gaming. i wouldn't buy it for 4K gaming. It might be ok for 2K low settings but it depends on the game and there are no guarantees

This card does hold its own considering that it was released years ago and has since been dethroned by the 2060s-2080s and all the 30series Gpu’s, however I don’t recommend buying it at this price point. Be patient the 30 series cards are becoming easier to obtain. If you absolutely can’t wait purchase a pre build! I recently bought an Omen 30L with a 3060 in it and boy! Thing is off the chain lol. But yeah good graphic card, a little dated for sure but with the right cpu this thing can still hold its own.
