My kids are huge Pokémon fans and have been asking for this movie, so on release day, I picked it up. Great performance by Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu and a n entertaining storyline overall. The bonus trading card inside the movie was a nice touch. Great choice for the whole family to enjoy!

This movie was an awesome example of how to make everyone happy! The story about a troubled son and his father was adorable and so sweet! The movie made the thought of having weird animals around and beings partners super normal and so so cool! It’s the best Live Action adaptation I’ve seen!

This movie was really fun. The bar for video game based films was set quite low but this one far surpassed them. Good story. Tons of pokemon you can pick out in almost every scene. Ryan Reynolds is great at Detective Pikachu too. And the steelbook looks super sweet. Highly recommended.

Great movie, Ryan Reynolds delivers his one liners with perfect timing and is great in a kid friendly movie! Plot is simple with tons of Easter eggs for long time fans. I would strongly recommend this movie to any pokemon fan or someone who just needs a great movie for movie night.

If you’re a fan of the game and Pokemon in general you will love this film. It’s hilarious and has some great jokes Ryan Reynolds is great as Pikachu. And the running gag of psyduck is too funny. You’ll definitely enjoy it.

Loved this movie in the theater, brought the same love home with me. Solid film with adorable animation and lots of heart. No problems with either disc, special features are average but have flair (Detective Mode acts like a commentary mixed with pokemon facts). Overall great product.

Loved Ryan Reynolds as pikachu in this movie. Definitely delivered on humor and a decent storyline. I was honestly a little concerned with it possibly being too childish for an adult but it was plenty adult but still kid friendly. Steelbook is also a really nice case for this movie.

I’ve had the blu ray for a while, but I finally watched it. You know... I always had a stigma of video game based movies always being bad, but this changed everything. An original self-contained plot, likable characters and Ryan Reynolds as pikachu actually works. Recommend.

If you loved the animated movies, you'll love this live-action version starring Ryan Reynolds as Detective Pikachu! Got a lot of jokes and fun plotlines. Highly recommend if you haven't yet seen it theaters or if you're a diehard Pokemon fan who loves all things Pokemon! Enjoy!!

Hi I'm a big fan of Pokemon and I seen movie in theaters and I got to own the movie on Blu-ray with the digital code and have a free card and I love the way so much two thumbs up for Pokemon and game freak and all the companies out there like Warner Brothers and legends super epic

My eight-year-old son, who is a Pokémon fiend, loved it! It was definitely more entertaining for me than the other full-length cartoon Pokémon films. We were disappointed that this Pikachu did not turn out to be the same one as the central character in the series, though. As for this edition, it looks good in 4K, and it is great to have the digital copy for watching on other devices.

Excellent story paired with a great cast that was able to flesh out the characters in a world of otherwise bland entertainment. My only knock is that there is a bit of language that would otherwise deter a Christian audience from properly enjoying. If there is a version with the peppering of language removed, I would not have a problem suggesting this movie to everyone.

I would say that it is a must have for any person that likes Pokemon. I am a parent of a young child and have been able to sit through it numerous times in the last week as my son has a new favorite movie. Luckily it isn't annoying like some other things youngsters tend to like.

I was surprised at how well done this film was from a story standpoint. It is very much a "who done it" detective film. Great for Pokémon fans or even people that didn't know anything about them coming in. The 4K looks and sounds great. The steel book is very nice as well.

This movie was hilarious with Ryan Reynolds playing the perfect detective pikachu. A little mature for young kids I might add. The steelbook is beautiful and basically resembles a holographic pokemon card... which a nice holographic promo card comes inside as well. Great buy!

If you are a 90's kid or grew up playing countless hours of Pokemon than this is your movie. The way the world is brought to life is spot on. Ryan Reynolds voicing the beloved Pikachu is quirky and fits the story line's character. I must get specially for the extra features.

I have to admit, this looked like a kids movie. Once I got over my fears, I watched it with my kids, and I loved it. I was never a Pokeman fan, but even so, I liked this movie! Has a great plot and kept me wondering throughout the movie, what was going to happen next.

My two kids (18 & 9) went to see this at the theater and came home raving about it. So when the Blu-ray came out I had to buy it, for them. Anyway, my 9 y/o talked me into watching it with him and to be honest, I enjoyed it. I knew that Ryan Reynolds was the voice of Pikachu and I loved him in Deadpool. This performance was similar, but obviously, much more clean.

I understand where some people felt this movie came up short, but I thought it was a good movie overall. Decently developing plot, engaging characters and an interesting landscape to place it within, this movie was worth watching again. Nice twisty moments as well.

Now don't go into this film expecting a cinematic masterpiece. Believe me, the acting is subpar at best from some of these leads. But Ryan Reynolds kills it and the Pokemon actually look fantastic next to the live actors. One of the best video game movies to date.
