My kids loved it and we loved it to.It had great senses that my kids keep talking about. They said that there favorite character is pikachu and they said that it was one of the best movies that they ever watched.

I must confess to not knowing anything about the Pokemon universe, but being a 3D fan I picked it up. I really enjoyed the story, and the world building. Ryan Reynolds was great as always. The 3D was fine. Could have pushed it in some places, and left some pop out opportunities go to waste. Recommended.

Kids liked the movie, I think we re on for numerous viewings. Content is both entertaining and appropriate. It won t compete with Pixar productions or Curious George, but I think it is of far better quality than (otherwise more than acceptable) Avengers or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animation movies.

I was only going to buy the digital copy as I don’t have a disc based entertainment system but this steel-book was worth paying the $10 difference. It’s a great way to commemorate the first live action Pokemon movie.

Very good adaptation of Pokemon. Ryan Reynolds made the movie. That isn't taking anything away from the other cast members as they did a very good job. Some funny stuff with a very serious note in the plot line.

Ryan Reynolds plays Pikachu like a G-rated Deadpool and the movie only gets better from there. This actually has a solid plot distinct form the game it was based on as well as the main series and pulls it off well.

The movie looks beautiful on 4K and the detective mode makes a rewatch of the movie a great time with lots of information and inspiration of what led to certain ideas. Digital Code works with Movies Anywhere!

So far the best american made anime movie live adaptation, in all platforms, or services. Anyone who argues with this statement has no idea what they're talking about and I'm not angry, just very disappointed.....

I purchased this for my family, who enjoyed the Pokemon characters and games. It was pleasantly entertaining, with excellent CG graphics. Presentation was good, with some cute bonus features as well. Would I have bought it for myself? Possibly not, but a nice light family fare for the weekend.

Great for adults and children and especially anyone who loves Pokemon. Great storytelling and the Pokemon are amazing!!!! Will watch again and again to "catch em all" as I try to see which ones are in each scene!

Fans of the Pokémon series need to check this out, I was standoffish at first but ended up loving watching the movie with the kids and wife. Also love the steelbook, PS son loved the Pokémon card that came in it.

I am not a Pokémon fan, but I am a Ryan Reynolds fan, and for that reason I bought this movie. Turns out I enjoyed the heck out of this movie, I now believe that Pokémon's are real. I have one clear rule when watching a film, "Did it entertain me", in this case it was a very clear YES IT DID.

My kids wanted to see this movie so bad, but I wasn't so excited. I caved, took them to see it in the theatre, and LOVED it! It was a really good / cute movie and if your kids love Pokemon, they'll love this!

This definitely took me back to when I collected Pokemon cards as a kid. The story isn't anything special (though you kind of tear up at the very end) but it serves the purpose of giving us old Pokemon fans what we always wanted (though we might not have known it) Pikachu Deadpool....hilarious!

My grandson asked for this one back when it was in the theaters. A week before it's release he again reminded me that he wanted it. On the day of releases WE went and purchased it. Baby boy is a "happy camper".

originally i took my son to see this in theaters. he loved it. ive since bought him the blu ray for his birthday that just past and now im waiting for him to wear out the disc he wants to watch it so much lol

And for me that was an enjoyable movie with Pokémon. Ryan Reynolds is as funny as ever, and everything pokemon-wise looks great. It’ll be interesting to see what else they do with future Pokémon movies.

Ok so theres no Ash in this movie what we have is a young man looking for his father and a sassy litttle electric mouse..and im 100% ok with that its a great start to the live action franchise that kicked off with Ryan Reynolds and its a blast out the gate and I as a Pokemon fan am happy.

Gotta admit this is one of the movies I was ver skeptical about. However it was amazingly well made. Story line was great, Ryan Reynolds did not disappoint. Pretty funny as well. Good for the entire family
