My 5 year old absolutely loves this movie. We've been watching it on HBO Max but i fear the day when it leaves so i snagged a copy on sale. Was glad it came with a digital copy! It wasn't advertised and the box said code expired at end of september but i tried it anyways and was able to redeem it! Very happy. Pika Pika!

Fun and funny family movie to watch Ryan Reynolds did a great job as Pikachu my kids loved the movie great movie and Ryan Reynolds did it again made the movie that much better the only thing I wish it had more Pokémon in it the story line was good can’t wait till they make a part two great buy any Pokémon fan will love it !!

Detective Pikachu is dramatic but fun movie I like how the Pokemon have come into the real world I will note that the actor that plays the lead did the best he could and gave a decent performance the lack of the series main characters was disappointing as it would make me feel nostalgic knowing Ash / Misty would be appearing I must say as i was sceptic about the film upon first hearing of the films release my only problem with the live action Pokemon movie is knowing what could have been the fact being it would be more fulfilling as a fan of Pokemon going into the film getting what was expected that said i am pleased with the end results as for a sequel that was something that never became a reality though most audience would agree a sequel is not something people would distances themselves from as it was of interest to the fans to take the live action version of the series to the next level and possible rework what didn't work in the first movie as for another live action Pokemon we will just have to wait maybe some time soon in the future fans will get a taste of what they always wanted

Looking for a great family film to watch with the entire family? Detective Pikachu is the right choice for you. Entertaining for kids and adults. The film doesn’t go off into little kiddie jokes but at the same time doesn’t take itself too seriously or go into dark adult themes. The ending is a bit cliche but the movie is still recommended.

This movie was ok. Was cool to see pokemon in live action but they could have done more felt like it was a quick cash grab another movie ruining my childhood

I remember when the Pokemon phenomenon first started everybody had to have them! Fast forward to now though and it seems like it's all over the place.

Good movie. My 11 yr old daughter really enjoy it. Any fan of Pokemon (young and/or old) will likely enjoy the movie. Highly recommended. CG was great. I really enjoyed Ryan Renolds' portrail of pikachu's voice. Have watched the movie numerous times. Also helps that I got a good deal on the movie (bluray).

It really is a great movie. It was very entertaining and enjoyable. It has a lot of great actors in it. It has a good little story to it and the kids should really like. My nephews and nieces really like it and as soon as it came out it stores they asked me to buy it for them to watch over and over.

A great film for a deep fan of Pokémon (young or old) and one that is particularly fan servicey. A lot of great Pokémon references and visuals in the background outside of main plot. Definitely recommend multiple watches. Video and audio quality for UHD is great, especially with effective HDR.

Surprisingly this movie was pretty good for a game movie! The animations in this game were on point and not too creepy or off putting when trying to make Pokémon in real life. Humor in this movie with Ryan Reynolds has some Deadpool sarcastic humor but not too vulgar for the younger kids. A worthwhile purchase for the kids.

I really wanted to like this movie.. and I was very very pleased that it delivered. The 90's kid in me enjoyed every bit of it. The nods to the anime was great, the acting was good, and just seeing all the pokemon in a live action setting was awesome! I really hope they make another live action pokemon movie!

I'm not a Pokemon fan so I didn't care about the movie at first. But it was more entertaining than I thought. I'm still not a Pokemon fan.

The movie is great! Don't let anyone tell you different until you watch it to decide. I'm not going to lie though, don't look at the Pokemon too close they can look a little freaky some times. However they did a great job at making them look realistic without sacrificing much, if any, of the main design.

At first I thought this was going to tank like many other live action films, but the whole family enjoyed. Sure the storyline and mythos doesn't follow the original properties. This film take it to a whole different level and makes it own within the Pokemon universe and I loved it. Twist ending!

I can't think of a better way to bring the world of Pokemon to the real world than they did with Detective Pikachu. They did an amazing job making a believable world with real Pokemon and Ryan Reynolds is basically himself in this movie so its a win-win. Also the 4K release looks gorgeous being shot all digital.

Honestly I wasn't looking forward to watching this movie but the kids wanted to see it, so we bought tickets. I actually sat and watched the movie all the way through without falling asleep (which is a big deal for me) and it exceeded my expectations 99% so of course when it came out on DVD, I bought it.

As a big fan of the Nintendo games as a child, it was nice to see the original 151 in the film. Although the film is definitely aimed at a younger audience, there is still some nostalgic joy to be had for the adults who grew up with the property. But don't expect something more than a family blockbuster.

I remember watching Pokemon when I was younger. Watched the first few seasons. I didn't know all the Pokemon in this movie. That's okay though. It was a fun watch with the wife and kiddos. I didn't know how Pikachu could be portrayed by Reynolds. Thought all I would hear is Deadpool. I didn't though.

This movie is so cute! I bought it as a gift, and I might have to get a copy for myself. Pokémon brought into the modern world on screen, and Ryan Reynolds has a fun and wonderful role. Highly recommend for a fun and yet heartwarming night.

Kids weren't really in to the movie surprisingly, they love Pokemon. I thought it was entertaining though probably not worth buying
