Nostalgia overload! One annoying thing (a minor nitpick really) is that at one point the episodes have the "we'll be back after these messages, and now back to our show" in between acts. Just feels unnatural or weird lol but I still recommend it!

This is a great collection of the first season of the classic Pokémon anime in crisp HD quality. My only issue is that it’s based on the US 52 episode season instead of the full original Japanese 82 (79 in the US) episode season.

For 52 episodes on Blu-ray, $27 is a steal but, since 4Kids edited the show heavily, the quality is basically DVD quality since there's likely no way to see an actual remaster of what 4Kids released during the 90s. Nonetheless it's nice to see the original anime series and compliments the 2008 original series box 3 that included episodes 53-71 (newer box releases exclude several episodes from that batch). I'd recommend if you want a cheap Blu-ray (less than $30) of the first 52 episodes, otherwise there is nothing special from this release

Overall love it. Case a little broken. It arrive over a week late. But I’m just glad to finally have it an able to watch it but it’s not every episode of the season still missing the last 2 gym battles & the league

You gotta buy the dvd that started it all. You must remember the first time you watched Pokémon and you can relive the memory’s of Ash and Pikachu on their journey meeting Brock and Misty

Loved watching Pokémon as a kid growing in the 90’s. Was always a huge fan of the series and still to this day I can watch it on any given day.

Always nice to watch something from your past. Initially bought it for myself however my kids both were interested and hooked immediately!!

Cant go wrong with the original series of Pokémon. Everything about it screams nostalgic harmony and I still love it.

For $40 on Blu-ray it was a steal. I always liked this show that’s why I got it.

That's right! Original episodes on Blu Ray, what more could a person ask for? Just more episodes. Must have for any true Pokemon fan.

Relive your childhood. Great show to bring back old memories and/or begin new ones with your children.

The quality and disc formatting is fine. The show is not as good as I remember it from childhood.
