The movies are the same greats from our childhood. I should however point out that the Pikachu short movies from before are not added? "How could they do this?" you may ask. Well, I'm scratching my head as well wondering what the reason is. I would LOVED to have shown those cute adventures to my daughter, if I could only find them.

If you're a fan of Pokemon (new or old), this special edition is great for collectors! The HD transfer and quality of the movies came over very well. As the cover indicates, it is a limited edition set of the first 3 Pokemon movies. However, the product description on the website fails to indicate that this is a steelbook case. If not for the fellow reviewers, I would not have known this prior to purchasing, as I prefer regular plastic casing versus steelbook casing. Despite that, the case is sturdy and the cover Pokemon have a nice 3D print. If you haven't scene these movies yet, I definitely recommend this product (especially at its $19.99 sale price)!

These movies look great on blu ray. Just wish they had subtitles

You know what you're getting with this set: the first three Pokemon movies. They have transferred over to blu-ray in solid fashion, but nothing spectacular. Any Pokemon fan will enjoy them, and they definitely look better than the DVD counterparts. The Steelbook is gorgeous, and it is crazy to think that steelbook's are the new way of the future, with cool artwork and lasting appeal (just slightly heavier than the blu-ray cases). The only other con is lack of bonus features for the movies, but again, at less than $6 a movie, it's a great deal now.
