Customers often highlight the solid gameplay, beautiful graphics, and engaging story as major strengths of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Double Pack. Many also praise the Wild Area and the introduction of new Pokémon. However, some players find the game too easy and express concerns about the amount of content. Positive feedback also focuses on the open world, ease of use, and the overall fun factor.

Double Stuffed Fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent games. This duo pack came with extra codes and items that helped me with my new Pokemon Journey. It's a great pack if you have another person at home so you can both have a separate journey or you are a video game collector. Otherwise, I recommend getting just one since it's basically the same game.

Good quality product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A classic rendition with the quality craftsmanship expected from Nintendo and their partners. This is a game that can be played well beyond its years unlike some of the triple A titles today. My husband grew up on Pokémon and is loving every moment of it and now he gets to share it with me as we’re trading and experiencing this together.

If You Like Pokemon...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new Pokemon adventure plays like... well a classic Pokémon adventure containing new mechanics. Dynamaxing your Pokemon is cool but more of a novelty than a necessity. The main story itself is fairly short but i don’t know anyone who plays the series for the story line. It’s all about the post game content and competitive aspect to online battles and of course... shiny hunting! Overall it’s a good entry to the Pokemon series if you like battling Pocket Monsters you’ll like this game. Worth the buy.

The latest Pokemon games
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been playing Pokemon since 1998 when I was in middle school. I've played every generation and this one is pretty strong. The games look great on the switch and the dynamax feature is a pretty interesting new feature. I would recommend this game to experienced Pokemon gamers in addition to children and new players.

Just Plain Fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The last Pokemon I played was Pokemon Pearl. It's been a while but I was excited to see how the game has changed over time. I don't play video games all that often. There are maybe a title or two a year I get excited about and have the patience to play through and Pokemon is definitely one of those titles. This did not disappoint! It was just so much fun without having to be needlessly complicated and annoying. I love being able to interact with Pokemon in the camps. It reminds me of the classic Ninten-Dogs games. Everything just feels so personal. It's nice to sit back and play without worrying if I went the wrong way or needed to find a certain Pokemon to get ahead. The gyms are the hardest thing in the game but they arent even too challenging. You have to be strategic but not once was I ever frustrated by the mechanics or needlessly thrown off by a difficulty spike. It all progressed very well. You just play and slowly learn about things at your own pace. The story is a little bland but I love the characters (and of course all the new Pokemon)!

New but familiar
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With each mainline entry it’s feels new yet familiar. I will go out and say that I’m not at all hurt or bothered by the controversy that surrounded the development of this game. For what it is, I’m enjoying the new region and the Pokémon that inhabit it. Grab your starter and be the best trainer you can be.

Fun adventure that all ages can jump into
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not as hand holdy as the past 2 generations, the challenge is progressive, catching Mons doesn't feel tedious and the Galar region is beautiful. And the dynamax music is really exhilarating, suspenseful and grand. As far as gimmicks go this is one that makes the experience feel exciting like an actual event.

Great game, finally the 3D Pokemon world
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been waiting a long time for a 3D fully-fledged Pokemon adventure, and it is awesome. I wish the characters were a little more appealing, but it's not a big deal. Action is great, if a little on the easy side, and there's a lot of hand-holding, but the game is certainly well-made and polished.

Fun Game for All Ages
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many hours of playability in this game with features for those who prefer solo play as well as those who like multiplayer. The visibility of nearby Pokemon is a new feature beginning in Let's Go and carries over to these titles, which some people do not like, but I quite enjoy; it lets me know if the ones I'm looking for are around without wandering in circles in the grass for hours, and it tells me if there's a particular Pokemon I was to avoid for any reason.

Another Great Pokemon Game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you love Pokemon, this is definitely a title worth purchasing. The environments and visuals are stunning and the gameplay is your classic Pokemon with a twist and an added element of multiplayer teamwork. This package comes with both games which is super convenient. Gotta Catch 'Em All.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only spent about 2 hours laying so far, but, I really like the new graphics and how you can see the Pokemon in the grass in the wild area (what they call the areas between towns) and how open it is to explore. Otherwise it's very familiar if you've ever played a Pokemon game before.

Great double pack!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Pokemon is one of the first I have played since the diamond on ds. It’s a great rpg and is a lot of fun in the open world. If you like Pokémon you may like this game, but beware it’s a much smaller Pokédex and it’s not fully open world. Still good gameplay and the story is typical.

Great games for the Switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To me, this is what the mobile aspect of the Switch was made for. I found Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate difficult to play well on the Switch in its handheld mode, but Pokemon is perfect in handheld or on the dock. As to the games themselves, I have some minor qualms, but nothing that has caused any problems in the overall experience for me so far. I do wish they had all the Pokemon. There are some known glitches and other software issues with the games, none of which I have yet encountered in the course of my game play (I'm at ~80 hours played so far). The main game story line is a bit short, and by some accounts, can be completed in less than 20 hours. Collecting all the Pokemon however will take quite a bit longer. The evolution modes of certain Pokemon are confusing and I don't see how a normal player would ever figure them out without using Google searches to find the answers. But overall, I have had fun going around and catching them all.

Super fun with lots of replay value
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the double pack to keep Shield and give my nephew Sword as an early Christmas present. He’s having a blast playing this new Pokémon game. Great game for kids and adults who grew up playing Pokémon on the Gameboy

Miss some features but still great overall
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There was a lot of controversy around these games, but the games we got are awesome overall. I miss not having all of the Pokémon, but honestly +800 different Pokémon is starting to get a little ridiculous anyway. I miss my old favorites, but I fell in love with some new ones

Fun game for the kids
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.More of a review of what my kids think of it as I haven't even met fancy pants in my game. They said they love this game. They claim to have beaten this game but when I ask if they completely filled out their Pokedex, they said no, so I said then you haven't beaten the game yet.

Another great Pokemon installment
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 70 hours I spent with this game flew by. I enjoyed seeing new and old Pokemon brought to life on the big screen with my Switch. The wild area is great addition to the Pokemon formula, and I enjoyed the ability to start taking on high level Pokemon from the start.
