It's still classic, Pokemon. Catch. Train. Collect. The difference here is that some events happen in the Day and pokemon such as Solgaleo, Middday form Lycanroc, Aloha Vulpix and Gible are catch-able only through this version. The plot is a bit more different this time as Trial captains and Kahunas have replaced Gyms. I'd recommend it.

So, you really are just replaying Sun. The fun part is that you can always replay Pokémon a million times anyways. This time you just get more challenge and different Pokémon.
