Great game but suffers from lag issues in certain environments(sea, also rain/snow)due to Nintendo Switch limitations.

Has its fair share of lag yes, and I experienced a couple of crashes (turning the game off when done does seem to prevent this though) I haven't experienced any of the technical glitches myself, but I won't say they don't exist. My main issue is Tera Raids when lag is at its worst, moves won't go through or your pokemon just sits there, making other possibly think you're afk even. But, all that being said, if they improve the performance, I can see this easily topping anyone's list in pokemon games, it's fun, true open world, and even the multiplayer has been expanded to be more than simply battling against one another. Hopefully it improves, otherwise unless you're a die-hard fan or don't really care about performance, like me, I'd say wait and see if they fix the performance problems.

I personally finished the pokedex and got over 300 hours of play time in this pokemon title. For the haters, yes the performance is lackluster and Switch graphics definitely need an upgrade. However, this Pokemon is charming as ever with an open world concept and great storyline. There's plenty of content in post game including monthly raids and the Pokemon Home update which allows you to transfer hundreds of old Pokemon as well. Plus, there's more goodness to follow with the first DLC releasing soon. Whether you are new to the franchise or an OG player, Scarlet and Violet are surely worthy of a playthrough!

This game would be a great entry in the Pokémon series but the technical issues, ugliness and blandness of the game hold it back. The characters are very likable and the story is pretty good. The new Pokémon that are in thisgeneration are really outstanding too. The issues though really hurt, with slow downs throughout, the open world itself being bland and pretty ugly and other than the main cast the npcs are nothing interesting. If your looking forward to this i would just wait for a sale and hope that they can at least fix the performance issues.

A very fun adventure with an amazing story. Performance issues hold this game back from being perfect, but Pokemon had a good first attempt at an open world RPG.

Does it have laggy moments? Yes. Does it have a lot of bugs? Yes. Do I care? No! The gameplay is probably one of the best things I’ve experienced and I’ve played through most Pokemon games. I don’t think I’ve played a Pokémon game where I’m like ‘imma go try to beat X gym’ and then proceed to spend 2-3 hours doing some other random that just pops up from exploring. I also felt like this was the 1st time that I naturally had lots of Pokémon to chose from to beat each part of the story, not just 1 over leveled one that wiped the floor with everything. Overall I think that the issues that people complain about are realistically minor compared to how good this game actually is. But if you only care about graphics and performance then this is probably not the game for you, until the patch it.

I love the theme, the storyline and game so far. Unfortunately I havent got my copy yet because Best Buy hasnt sent me my digital code on day one despite preordering it but luckily my gf got it and i got to play it for awhile and its just the pokemon game i always wanted. Yeah it has its choppy moments and i can only hope that the bad PR will get Game Freak to fix it. But its not so bad. I mean its a Nintendo Switch. The hardware has certainly reached its limit and it just kinda makes sense. I'm happy the game exist. Hope others will agree.

It blew me away. that is not saying alot though. Ive honestly soured on pokemon games after the 3ds era. sun and moon being honestly the last I thought fondly of, after x and y being to easy and a chore to play through. sword and shield being my least favorite and where I thought I would quit. these however despite their flaws and bugs, charmed me. its a step in the right direction and I put several hours in with my wife. great comeback.

It’s the first open world Pokémon game ever released. There were too many technical issues on the old switch, but it is definitely a masterpiece on the more powerful switch 2.

It’s a slow start, but my girlfriend and I have been having fun going around and exploring, finding unique Pokémon, and treasures. Yep, that’s right! It has a multiplayer. It’s rudimentary, but the skeleton is there. I’m looking forward to seeing how they expand on this in the coming years.

I've never filled out a Pokedex before until this game. It's incredibly fun and has lots of quality of life improvements making it easier to manage train your Pokemon. But obviously the low framerates and random bugs/glitches are bringing it down.

Most fun I’ve had in a Pokémon game for ages. It’s not a pretty game and it doesn’t run particularly well, but not poor eniugh to hinder my enjoyment of this long overdue evolution for the series

It's a really cute and wholesome game. I liked that you can do anything you like in the open world quests and it lets you try different things as a trainer. Its a good change for pokemon. The story is well written too.

A huge improvement from sword and shield. A few lags here and there but not where as bad as they made it to be. Whoever played Arceus is going to appreciate the improvements on this one
