This is a really great game for newcomers to the series. This is my first Pokemon game since Pokemon Red, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

My son had been bugging me for a pokemon game and we settled on this one. He wouldn't stop playing it until he finished the game. He loved it!

There was something inherently awesome about finally seeing our Pokemon in 3D. Continuing on, this game provides a very healthy-sized Pokedex and an enjoyable story. Certainly a must have!

Story is not that long but graphics are nice because of new engine. I prefer the DS graphics though but oh well, we have to accept change.

My son loves the game, the only complaint I have is some of the levels it is not clear where to go next, but it is a great game.

I had a huge Nintendo nostalgia hit recently. I purchased a Switch and New 3DS XL out of the blue. I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the Wii (only ever really played bowling) and before that I was a big Gamecube lover. I've been out of the Nintendo sphere for years now. The only thing I will say is I'm having a blast with this Pokemon game. It's scratching all my nostalgic itches. It's a huge step up from the original games I used to play. I do not regret my out of the blue Nintendo purchases. If you've been gone for a while and haven't played a Pokemon game then jump aboard!

My 7 year old absolutely loves this game! The puzzles are challenging but any player of any skill level will eventually get the hang of it. Very user friendly.

Very fun and interactive! Had a friend that had X and was able to swap with me which made it even more fun! If you want a Pokemon game I would highly recommend this.

I purchased this game for my 7 and 9 year old boys. They enjoy this more than Pokemon apps that they have used.

The best Pokemon I've played since red and yellow. The family pet, the group of half a dozen friends (Red/Ash was kind of a loner, wasn't he?) and the small town feel of the first area really make you feel like you're a part of something larger. Wonderful, fully animated graphics, interesting cities, and fantastic camera angles really combine to make this a gorgeous Pokemon game. The story and gameplay are basically the same as always, but the scaling, rotations, and unique camera really make the game feel more like Pokemon Skyrim than just another overhead RPG. I recommend it for anyone.

I grew up playing the original Red, Blue, and Yellow versions and loved them all dearly. I have always wanted a more improved version and all the others in between didn't seem to be too much of an improvement for me to jump on board, but X and Y are amazing. The graphics and gameplay are amazing! I may be an adult now but I had just as much fun if not more playing through this as I did as a kid!

I got back into Pokemon for the first time in fifteen years. Generation six is not so different from the generation one and two games that I played in the past, yet they have so many different things that they are definitely a new experience.
