I am a pokemon fan myself, but unfortunately I just bought this as a gift for someone. They loved it! I seen some footage and I want one myself. Will buy soon!

Dude; I grew up on Pokemon. You know how on the Pokemon tv show, they have that "who's that Pokemon" bit? Basically a champ. So anyway, I had to have this game. And it lives up to it's hype. I caught a snorlax. That snorlax pwns. The 3d effects? Really flippin cool. I feel like I'm actually there. I can customize my avatar too - really rock that Pokemon flair. Anyway, great game that's oodles of fun to play.

If youve been holding back on Pokemon, now is a great time to jump back in. The game offers a refreshing feel to an old series. The new 3D graphics add a new depth to the pokemon battles and the world making the game feel more immersive. The story is a bit cliche but is passable. Some of the new online features are great. My personal favorite being Wonder Trade. Street Pass capability is a welcome addition.

Pokemon games are always fun. It's nice now that we can distinctively hear the Pokemons' speech and interact with them on a more personal note. The 3D makes the game cool and it is fun overall.

The jump to 3D for this pokemon was an amazing/refreshing experience especially for a long time pokemon fan. It has everything I needed in a pokemon game!

The new 3d battle scenes are a much needed upgrade to the Pokemon battle system, and Kalos is a very well designed region to explore. Would highly recommend

My son Lucas age 10 plays this game non-stop and everytime he beats a board or unlocks a new character, he comes running dad take a look and persist to explain his adventures. I remember the pokemon craze in the late 90's and i can't believe that it has survived this long. However my son loves the storyline and the characters. Thumbs up for keeping my son entertained while I watch the game on TV.

Fun game. As a classic Pokemon player, getting to choose a second starter of Charmander was an added bonus. I also enjoyed getting to customize the trainer.

Pokemon has been such a joy in my life, I've played them since Red an Blue came out in America. After the disaster of the fifth generation, Pokemon X and Y breathe new life into the franchise. With new Pokemon, a brand new region, and a new villainous team to battle, hours can be spent for fans of Pokemon of any age with an adventure that's sure to stay with you!

I like how you get both new and older Pokémon. This game is awesome

I never had the chance to get involved with Pokemon when I was younger but I'm glad I've started now. After becoming a fan of other jrpgs in my adult life I had to give Pokemon a try. It's a fun rpg without being quite as intense as other jrpg titles. I think it's a nice relaxing title for other jrpg fans or a good first rpg for someone just getting into the genre.

This is a great game and a must-have for anyone who likes RPGs or pokemon games. I know it's geared towards kids, but it is way too easy sometimes. My Pokemon were sometimes 10 levels higher than gym leaders. The new trading system and online system makes the game even more enjoyable. If you have a 3DS, this is a must have. I even purchased a 3DS just for this game and I haven't looked back.

This is a fun game to play! Even if you do not know the series you will get a hang of this game easily.

This was the first Pokemon game I had ever played, so I wasn't sure what I was getting into. Definitely an awesome game with tons of hours of stuff to do. If you want to just play through the story you can, but there are loads of Pokemon to catch. A great game, visually stunning for a handheld game, and the 3D is great! Definitely a must try for anyone who loves RPGs and Nintendo.

One of the best pokemon games i have ever played. It was fun and had a great story line. There was a lot more to do than on previous games. Best parts about the game is being able to catch every pokemon to date.The graphics were top notch the 3-D effects made it appear as if you were truly in a battle. Never once was I bored during the game there were always new exciting things to do.

I haven't played one of these games in a very long time. I am glad this was the game I decided to step back into the Pokémon world. FANTASTIC!

Pokemon Y is a great game. Engaging gameplay and immersive story. Fun to play.
