Think it's time to put this game series to a rest.

Every generation of Pokemon has its steps ups above the last generation. Gold Silver Crystal had colors and a day night cycle. Ruby Sapphire Emerald was brought to the Gameboy Advanced with improved color and an enormous world. Diamond Pearl Platinum had 3D environments and began Pokemon's leap into the Internet. BW and BW2 added over a hundred new pokemon with fully animated sprites and great music. Pokemon X and Y brings full 3D to the Pokemon handheld games. Every 721 pokemon has their own unique 3d model complete with fighting animations. Even trainers get the upgrade with full 3d and customization of clothing. Also improved online connectivity and more tools for the seasoned battlers to raise the perfect team for online competitive play. Can't wait to see how Game Freak tops this for generation 7.

I've had a lot of fun playing through the Kalos region in the new games! I liked the addition of Mega Evolution and feel like Pokémon put of a lot of work on the story, and I really enjoyed it!

Probably one of the most innovative pokemon games in a long time. Looks great and is a ton of fun. IGN rated it crazy high too. Got it at an awesome price with the gamer rewards program too.

Pokemon games are hours of fun with great stories and so many colorful, animated Pokemon to collect and battle. Really enjoying my time with this game.

This pokemon game and the omega ruby has to be the best pokemon games I have played so far! (Keep in mind I haven't played that many on the DS yet)

It brought back childhood memories. The game play is smooth and I enjoyed seeing plenty of the older Pokemon.

Had fun playing both versions, just wish that the story was a little bit better. Everything else was great.

I haven't played Pokemon since I was in elementary school and got Red version for Christmas. So yes, it feels kind of weird playing it now that I'm a "grown up". At the high recommendation of some fellow gamers, and seeing the gameplay, the kid in me just couldn't resist. If you've enjoyed previous Pokemon games, buy this one. Period. 'Nuff said. If you're new to Pokemon, expect surprisingly strategic gameplay beneath the game's cartoony exterior. Honestly, I don't know how little kids play this... this game is quite intricate under the hood. Perhaps that's the beauty of the game. For the younger ones, it has fun, fast paced action and a kid-friendly inoffensive storyline. For those who choose to play competitively it has an intricate combat system that will have you constantly referring to wikis and online guides to understand what counters what. That's what I have to do, anyway! Finally, the game has infinite replay value. I would consider this one of games that never end. To me, beating the storyline is actually where the real fun begins... but I won't spoil it for those who haven't done that yet. Believe me when I say this is a very satisfying game that does not get old. This is truly a game for all ages. I highly recommend. And don't forget to get the "Mystery Gift" Torchic, it's a really good Pokemon!

Great throwback to my childhood. I didn't like the minor 3D elements added to generations 4 and 5, but the full 3D world (as in no longer consisting of sprites) is pretty impressive. This game actually made me go out and buy a 2DS just to play it. Very fun. Pokemon has never had much plot (it's the same thing every time), and I don't play Pokemon with sound, which is why I gave lower scores in those areas. However, as always, the gameplay is excellent. Great game for any Pokemon fan, young or old.

My kids are totally into this game! They love pokemon!

Finally Pokemon in 3D. After many years of the series looking the same, the towns are now much more detailed. Still easy to get around, besides maybe the biggest city. Lots of fun new Pokemon to discover. Online is the best its been, besides less things to do co-op with friends, the best for that is Soul Silver/Heart Gold, though those servers are now down. Excellent game if your kids like Pokemon.

This is the definitive edition of Pokemon ever released. Best system and graphics.

This is a really good game. The storyline is more immersive than any of the previous generations. And there are TONS of pokemon to catch. There are a lot of good online and multiplayer options as well.

I purchased this for a friend who's never played pokemon but wanted to give it a shot. he loves it. However he said it's not all in 3d which is a little strange.

I have always loved Pokemon and finally there is a new game that doesn't simple feel like an expansion pack. It takes you forward without ever feeling like you are in unfamiliar territory

Got it along with my girlfriend. We had a great time playing it together. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about it!
