The 3d graphic is good and the movie had funny moments but not hilarious. But this is an option from a person who is not a Pokémon fan. I would consider this a something to watch movie, but not a must see.

To be honest expected something different. This movie still had a great story, great graphics, and makes you want a Pokemon. I just wished they showed more, showed their skills and made it more about them.

As an adult, that is familiar with the game and character, I found the movie okay to watch, but my son who is a gamer, thought it was well worth watching, again and again. It was certainly worth buying to watch a few times with kids, but I don't think it's a life long keeper. But, who knows, maybe my son will one day consider it one of the good ole movies. Buy it, watch it, don't over think it.

Did a pick up purchase for this DVD/Blu-ray. Very easy to get it. Very glad I got the one with the digital code due to the fact I didn't know my home TV and computer set up didn't include Blu-ray option. That was my own blunder but I was able to watch it by signing up on one of the offered sites, vudu and watch it. I loved the movie and enjoyed it a lot. I think this great for family or friends viewing.

It not much a story, but kids under 15 should enjoy it. For those grow up during the pikachu era, might not like it as much. My two older daughter didn't enjoy the movie and much as my 13 year old

For years kids wondered whether a Pokémon live action movie was possible and it came true with Detective Pikachu. Ryan Reynolds was a sweet voice for this wisecracking Pikachu and carries the story.

I’m a steel case collector so I had to get it. I thought The movie could’ve been better was that disappointed hope the next one is better. The Pokémon in the movie looked awesome and pop In 4K

All the Pokemon you grew up with in this movie. Fun for the whole family! My daughter would give it 5 stars, I'm giving it 3 stars, only because it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!

I’ve never played a Pokemon game before but being a huge fan of Nintendo I’ve known about them for years. Went into this not being a diehard fan so it really had no bar set for what I was hoping to expect. Definitely wasn’t blown away by it but far from disappointed. Visually it was great seeing fully realized and lifelike Pokémon and the action was solid. It was clearly geared towards kids so I can’t fault it for not really engaging me as much as an aspiring Pokémon master but that’s the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars.

Strange story line is hard to follow a bit but the cgi of the Pokémon is great they took extra time trying to get the visuals correct could just use a bit more balance of story and action

Never got a chance to see the 3D version in theaters, but picking up the 3D Blu-Ray helped make up for it! The movie makes great use of 3D where it isn't too overwhelming or underwhelming ... it strikes the perfect balance. The movie itself is very enjoyable, even if you're not familiar with the characters. Definitely recommended!!!

As an adult watching this movie, I would say it was cute. Ryan Reynolds makes the movie. Not being familiar with Pokemon, I may have missed some jokes. I assume kids would enjoy it.

Going in I have no knowledge of pokeman or characters. But was interested in this movie. I'm not sure if it pleased hardcore fans, but I feel for general audience it was a solid movie

I took my daughter to see this at the movies and was really excited to see it because the trailer was looking really good it's just an average movie not worth watching twice.

I had high expectations for this & they did not deliver. I loved the storyline & the realistic characters, but there were not enough action scenes. Should have had more battles.

Great movie But The main blu Ray Disc was upside down. It was also on resume film and started off at the end credits as if someone had already used the disc before my purchase.

The resurgence of POKEMON swept up my son and now he can't stop playing this game. When I saw there was a movie, it was a no-brainer to get it for him. He loves seeing these characters come to life on the big screen and can't stop shouting out the character names as they enter the story. He ended up really enjoying the movie.

My kids are Pokémon fans. I am familiar but not a fan like them. I thought the movie was interesting, but I got the feeling I missed a bunch of the Pokémon inside jokes.

I love Pokemon. To this day. I watched it with my mother and to my surprise, she loved it. She is not a fan like me, but she appreciated the sensitive parts it touched when it came to relationships. It is that kind of humanity that drew me and her into the movie. Personally, seeing all of the Pokemon in this kind of light was really a visual treat.

It's not a terrible film but it's definitely aimed toward a young audience to understand what's going on. I do love a fun detective flick and I think this delivers.
