This is a solid remake of an old game. I like the update to the exp system where you get exp for catching pokemon (and battling trainers and gyms), because it makes you catch more than the old games did. It is a bit pricey to get this with the pokeball controller, though.

The Let's Go games are a great trip down memory lane. The story and characters are wonderful to see with the graphical update the switch provides. The game's mechanics are not fantastic-- I call this kid gloves pokemon because of how incredibly easy it is. Basically, the game's only mechanic is "grind." But that's okay, it's easy to pick up and play for a while when you have time, the game is adorable, and it's worth owning for any pokemon fan!

    Another Pokemon Game

Not too much revolutionary changes to the game. If you liked the old formula OR you are a new player you'll most likely enjoy it. It can be linked to Pokemon Go to trade from pokemon go to the let's go switch game. Only downside is that you can't battle random pokemon in the wild anymore; it plays just like pokemon go in that regard. It is a simplified version of the original pokemon titles that make for a fun, family-oriented play style.

Sorry, not sorry for the groan-worthy headline. It's a very pretty remaster of Pokémon Yellow, with a simplified mechanic of throwing Pokeballs to capture pokemon instead of battling them. This game was made to cross over Pokémon Go to the mainline series, and for grown up 90's kids to pick up for their kids, the next generation of Trainers. Plus, every second they play Pokémon is a second they aren't playing Fortnite. *mic drop*

This game is not the same as the pokemon games I grew up playing. But it does bring so many memories and I understand that it was meant to introduce new people to this game. I love it as a fan of the pokemon series and also it is great gift for anyone with a switch.

This is a cute, nostalgic trip back to the Kanto region for veterans of the franchise however the gameplay is great for the more casual fan or for new fans of the series. The catch mechanic isn't perfectly accurate, but it's still a fun game nonetheless.

It’s a good take on Pokémon. I wouldn’t consider it one of the best games of the series, but it’s fun and has the basic Pokémon gameplay you know and love. If you like Pokémon Go I think you will be very happy with this game. I personally am not a fan of Go but I did enjoy this game. Like I said, it has just enough old school Pokémon to keep me interested. And honestly it’s one of the few Switch games worth buying at this point.

I wasn't sure what to make of the new direction they took this pokemon.. the added ball and pokemon go style elements concerned me. But its a lot more fun and enjoyable than I expected. Very pleasantly surprised and happy with it so far, definitely worth a try.

Pretty fun game, though as an old-school Pokemon fan, it takes some getting used to the new catching mechanics. Like the feel of the Poke Ball plus. Best Buy had a pretty easy pick-up for my pre-order and made it easy to switch to the bundle when that came out.

It's Pokemon that caters to the "GO" crowd. Yes, it's controversial, but it doesn't bother an old-school Pokemon player such as myself. It's fun, enjoyable, and my son can enjoy it with me. Highly recommended, especially if your'e new to the traditional games.

I remember playing Pokémon Red when I was a kid... Now, playing this new version, all those memories came back in every single corner I am revisiting! They have taken care of every detail in the story, while merging some new stuff from recent games. A must!

Despite being a remake of Pokemon Yellow, Let's go manages to keep Kanto as good as it ever was by adding features that distinguish it from its previous incarnations. It's not the best version of the region, but it is certainly still excellent at its core!

In basically a remake of the original pokemon games,Pokemon finally makes its debut on the Nintendo Switch and while it might not set the series on fire with revolution, it manages us to give us a big taste at what we are in store for come Generation 8

My family has been playing pokemon since the beginning. We appreciated how the company redid this game with newer graphics and added new gameplay features. We have transferred a pokemon to the pokeball plus and synced the game with pokemon go, as well!

I've been playing Pokemon since the originals for Game Boy, and I was happy to hear about the original 151 getting some love. This game feels great, they have made it more accessible for a younger audience, and I am very happy with the decisions made.

This is a great game, my son has spent many hours playing it and he loves the poke ball controller. IT also has integration with the phone version of pokemon go, this is cool because you can transfer pokemon that you catch on your phone into the game.

The Pokemon Adventure I've Been Waiting For...

Pokemon: Let's Go video game adventure is the game I've been waiting for since Pokemon Snap for N64 and the Pokemon cartoon series. It has the look and feel of the anime cartoon, the play style of the Nintendo handheld systems, but all in an updated graphic setting. I gave this 4 stars our of 5 because the game story itself isn't very defined. Oh, there's a lot of room to choose your own adventure, but if you're looking for a point A to point P story arch, it's not really here--at least not that I can find. There are a lot of pokemon just floating around, but it's definitely not a "gotta catch 'em all" kind of game. I mean, you can, but maybe 1 of all of them. They've built in a lot more strategy around building your pokemon team, and learning about pokemon as you go. All really good points, but just be prepared to do a lot of wandering around and deciding to engage or avoid pokemon who are just everywhere. As for graphics, in-game learning, and varied degree of difficulty in catching some pokemon, I'd give it 5 stars. As for the battle moments, and training opportunities, it's kind of a 3. It's cool, but don't expect the battle game play to be like Pokemon DX for Switch, it's more like Pokemon Stadium. All in all, this is a very fun game if you are a fan of the cartoon, the Nintendo handheld systems, and exploration-type turn-style RPG games. P.S. I got the PokeBall Switch controller as well. It's fun to use, but a bit frustrating to get used to. Expect a longer learning curve than you think.

As someone who has played the Pokémon series from the original GBA series, this brings back memories while mixing it with new and interactive mechanics of the go version. This game brings together the veterans and newcomers to the series of Pokémon.

As a long time fan of the series I knew that this wasn't going to be what I was used to. I like the play through, especially being able to see Pokemon in the overworld and have them following you around, but the gameplay can be a bit boring at times and I wasn't as motivated to finish the gameplay as much as previous game. Still, it was definitely enjoyable and and worth it's price.

A fun game that will bring up the nostalgia to the older crowd and lots of Pokemon fun for the younger crowd. Later in the game you can connect your Pokemon GO account to bring in more Pokemon from your cell. The multiplayer ability was a fun feature that brought more fun for friend that would typically have been spectators. It was a blast trying to countdown with a friend to get an excellent throw to catch 'em all. I love playing with the Pokeball controller. It does connect to your phone as well to catch in Pokemon GO. Unfortunately, there are no directions for use in the box, so you'll have to go online to get the functions. I preferred using the ball over the joystick controllers with the functions being really intuitive and overall adding to enjoyment of the game. To me, it was worth it to get the full pack with game and ball.
