Game is totally awesome with alot of new things compared to older version

Kids were excited to get this for Christmas. Haven't stopped playing it.

Great game and story for the Pokemon series. I wish this was the original Sun and Moon game instead. feels more like a expanded DLC but would be a great experience for those who haven't played any of the Sun and Moon games

Those who are concerned about the game not having enough new content should think carefully before purchasing. It's true, for the most part the content is identical to Sun. Certain parts at the beginning of the game feel like a chore, but Sun is such a fun game and full of so much heart that I didn't mind going through it all again. Ultra Sun adds many old Pokemon to the Alola dex, so you should be able to play this game with an entirely different team from whatever you used in Sun. Additionally, while it could use a little more plot, the post-game story offers some intriguing concepts and adds plenty of excitement for the upcoming Switch title. Ultimately, if you come into the game with mindset of getting the most out of your money, you should be able to find a rewarding experience in Ultra Sun.

If you bought this last year (sans Ultra moniker), it's the exact same game, with a few minor tweaks and upgrades. My son argued forever that it's not, but once he started playing it those arguments went away pretty fast. Still, he loves Pokemon and is willing to play through it again for a very slightly different experience. Nintendo is a masterfull at charging people full retail price, multiple times, for the same thing.
