This is great for workouts and keeping my heart rate tracked. Also keeps track of my calories.

I was looking for something easy to use for my daily workout routine and came across the polar watch ft7. I can honestly say i love this. Verything about this is a plus.. The heart readings, calories, easy setup.

The strap does not restrict movement. The display is easy to read. The heart monitor reads pretty easily after wet with water. The one complaint that I have is that the light does not stay on long enough.

So glad I decided to buy this watch. It's everything I was looking for, I wanted a watch to see my calories burned and monitor my heart rate. If you are thinking about buying this watch, DO IT! Love it!

The unit is as easy to set up as it can be without a full out computer/smartphone interface. Its quite simple to use and seems to be accurate. It was a very good deal as well. Recommended for the budget shopper that wants to get the next level up from the very basic.

Really enjoy using this while working out however after the first week it started losing sync with the chest strap. That's my only complaint is that it loses sync throughout my workout. Might be a weak battery

I run a lot and like to monitor my HR. The watch part has a timer and fitness tracker built in. It's easy to use even while you keep your running pace. The HR sensor and chest strap is also comfortable and doesn't restrict your breathing

Overall a great tool to use for cardio and calorie burned. No home or gym tool is going to be any where near accurate for calorie burn so understand that limitation. But, if you know how to figure out your RMR, lean body mass, and theoretical calorie burn, you can adjust it to get closer to what the theoretical calorie burn "should" be. Google is your friend for this =) This is not a tool to use for trying to figure out calories burned lifting weights, pushing pencils, hammering keys on the keyboard, holding the couch down or trying to find how many calories a day you burn by just breathing air and stuffing food down the disposal. It's fairly reasonable for cals burned during cardio and to watch your heart rate. Don't expect miracles and high amount of accuracy, but for repeatability and in the parking lot of the ball park figures, this HR does the job well enough.

I enjoy all the options with this fitness watch. I had the fitbit and found it tedious. You have to tap and then log in to see results and it does not keep track of heart rate so it is in short a sleep/step keeper. This is simple press and button and go then press a button and review. Couldn't be simpler.

Was interested in a Fitbit, but ran across this at a considerably lower price. The only complaint with it is that there is a another device you need to aid in logging your activities. The logging can be done manually, but having a complete product would have been preferable. Overall, happy with the product. It has held up well, and does what it's expected to.

I've used Polar monitors in multiple configurations for years. I recently started exercising again so I purchased the upgraded version. The heart rate measurement is accurate and easy to use. The only issue is it's difficult to keep up with what each button does. I got my purple unit on sale, but I wanted the black unit that for some reason was $20 more.
