I did not like this product at all. I'd wake up with 800+ steps logged. The accompanying app was also very bad. I returned this product and got a FitBit, which I love!

Great Tracker If You're A Runner

I have been researching wrist worn activity trackers for awhile now and I settled on the Polar Loop. I was attracted by the design, ability to be worn while swimming, and price. It is very comfortable to wear all day and I don't have a problem with having to size and cut it yourself, I prefer it to fit my wrist and not be a general size. The button is easy to use and the device is very easy to read. The clock on it comes in handy as well. It is registered to my left wrist but i wear it on my right sometimes and I have no problem with that. I would say that I lead an active lifestyle and wanted to use this to help motivate me at the gym. Unfortunately, I have discovered that it does not accurately measure activity unless you are walking/running. Whenever I have used this at the gym I will lift weights and do an ab workout and my activity meter will barely go up. However, when I start doing my cardio (usually running) the activity meter really soars. Its a little disappointing that all my hard work elsewhere goes almost unnoticed. In order to meet my daily activity goal, more running, walking, and full body movement is needed rather than ones involve primarily upper body. I have swam laps with my polar loop and I have mixed feelings. It does measure my activity properly but the pressure from the water turns the display button on every time my hand goes underwater. It even once put my Loop in airplane mode. So I was happy with the tracking while swimming but it was battery consuming because of the display being constantly turned on. Maybe that is just my device though. Also, Sleep tracking is not very deep in detail. It just tells you when you went to bed and when you woke up. Overall, Polar Loop does do a good job of reminding you not to sit on your butt and get up and move. I just wish it would give more credit for workouts not involving running such as lifting weights, rowing, or abdominal workouts. For running enthusiasts I would highly recommend this, but if your exercise consist of options other than running you might want to research into it.

The band was a pain- having to cut it to size then puts the buckle back on- needed help for that, after 2 weeks of tracking it quit downloading- not a phone problem either- Geek Squad at BB confirmed that. DO NOT buy this product!!!!!

The tracker that came out on top.

I did my research before finally purchasing my Loop. I wanted a tracker that would worn on the wrist, track steps, be waterproof, had a (respectable) display and can upload to a website, where I can see the data. Many reviews pointed out the strengths and weaknesses of all the trackers out there. Fitbit's trackers did not have all the features I was looking for and Withings could not satisfy all of them either. It boiled down to the Nike FuelBand, the Polar Loop or the Basis B1. Nike's statement of no Android turned me off of their tracker. The Basis has a difficult time with heart rate during the intense workouts, while the Polar Loop would require a Chest strap HRM, but would read accurate heart rate at the high levels. Since my purchase three months ago, I have not regretted it at all. If you are just doing it for everyday use, any tracker will work. If you intend on a variety of activity, take a serious look at the Polar Loop.

    Definately Buy the Protection

Your underwater swim will drain the battery. I usually do a brick - swim, run and bike for triathlon fun and I sort of get frustrated when I check the Polar Loop after my swim and the words "charge" flash across the tiny LCD screen. This was a gift and I was really excited to get it! However, I am glad I got the two year protection plan. I'm taking it back to Best Buy because Polar told me the battery should not drain when I'm doing my swim. Stay tuned as I’ll provide another update on my new tracker! I’m usually in the ocean or pool and figure I need a fitness tracker one that I could take underwater! So far, I think, the Polar Loop is great!

    Great fitness band

I actually had to create an account in order to review this product. I have tried many fitness bands (bodybugg, fitbit flex, garmin connect) over the last several years. This band in my opinion captures all the best qualities a fitness band can be. I bought the heart rate monitor when I purchased the loop and that makes this band my all time favorite. I tried the garmin connect and thought i would love it but returned it within a couple of days. The loop with the heart rate monitor captured my cycling output like the fitbit could never do. If you want a fitness band and want a more accurate reflection of your burn, i highly recommend the polar loop and the polar heart rate monitor.

I have had this for two days now and I think I really am going to like this. I workout 5-6 times a week and like to know my heart rate. It syncs with the software easily and downloads the activity right to the calendar. I didn't even realize that when I used my polar H7 heart monitor with my Iphone (left apple which became a problem because I had nothing that would read my Bluetooth heart monitor) that it was keeping track on a calendar. When it was synching my stuff I realized I could go all the way back to when I was doing my insanity workouts this summer. Overall I think this has tons of upside with their software and allowed me to again use my heart monitor since my device was unable to support it. Polar made another great device.

I have been in the market for an activity tracker for some time but nothing really got me excited until I discovered the Polar Loop. It has the look that I think is beautiful; the functionality that I am looking for with on-screen coach to let me know how far or close I am to reaching my daily goal; it tells time, number of steps, calories burned. And it is waterproof; I don't have to take it off to take a shower. It is one great product. The size is customized to The app, Polar Flow, for the iPhone had some bugs in the beginning -- it wouldn't sync, and the day was one day ahead. I deleted the app after a day of using the Loop. But I re-installed, paired the Loop with the iPhone again, and problem solved! Everything works harmoniously. Today is my third day using the Loop and I am happy with my purchase.
