This watch really does a great job with real time information and Polar site is great for post run data. 4-star because the iPhone synch hasn't or doesn't work. Still very good watch for the money.

I don't like the notification because you can do anything with it. You see it and then you will need your phone to response to the alert. It is not easy accessing the micro mini USB to charge/sync. I had this item for less than a month before I had to return to BB because I was unable to charge/sync with cable I have a lot of Polar devices and this was my least favorite. For the price point, there may be better options.

Requires synching with and downloading to computer. This was a gift for somebody who needs to work out but for whom use of a computer is too difficult for a variety of reasons. My computer knowledgeable sons (one is a marine engineer / naval architect) were frustrated with it. Instruction manual is helpful. We were unable to get back to the store to return or exchange it so it sits in our basement waiting for next electronics recycling.

This watch is ok. It isn't anything spectacular, and don't expect the app support to help anything. Overall, the only way I would recommend this watch is if you are wanting to save some money. Even then, I returned it because there are a lot better ones out there for not much more. (fitbit Blaze is what I opted for fyi)

This watch is everything I hoped it would be. It is an absolute beast of a watch. It is an ugly watch but it does sport training like a pro.

As advertised. The Polar Flow App could be a bit better. Especially as relates to displaying sleep and reported summary. A bit clumsy.

Watch has good functions and several workout options but the battery dies too fast since you can't turn it off and faulty USB plug in.

This is the second unit in 3 months. I originally purchased the first unit in April. I took it back 2-3 weeks later because it stopped syncing via blutooth and sync cable. New worked up until a month later. I am having the same issues. I am going back to my infrared data transfer watch. Too much work before or after a work out to upload your data. Avoid this model

    Excellent Tracker/ heart rate monitor

I purchased a Fitbit One, clip kept falling off, lost it. I then was interested in a tracker that had heart rate so that I did not have to wear my polar separately. I purchased the much anticipated Fitbit Charge HR. This was a lot of fun, but every time I would work out, I would get an error message for heart rate. Tried everything, same result. I came across the Polar M400... accidentally found it, it's not well marketed. This is the best thing for both worlds. I wear the tracker all the time, and use the HR strap when working out. I never use the polar flow app, no issues, but the watch tells me everything I need to know with a ridiculous recall history. I also like the function as a watch much more than the Fitbit. As small an issue as it may seem, it was annoying having to push a button to see the time. One last thing, and perhaps the most impressive is the battery life. I had my Polar 3 weeks before the battery went down to 25% life. I had to charge my fitbit every 4-5 days. Unbelievable. This also takes a micro USB charger, and has a battery meter on the watch. Much more user friendly than the others. Now there are talks of notifications coming up later this spring. Just an extra little touch.
