Awesome addition to the polaroid line-up

Even though polaroids are meant to be nostalgic, I still love that Polaroid is moving forward by producing smaller versions of their cameras. Convenience is so important in today's world and now we have a mini polaroid that uses the classic polaroid film formula but in a smaller compact and fun size. The mini polaroid photos are almost half the size but the same high-quality photos we see in the normal polaroids. The Polaroid GO is so much smaller and easier to carry around so I find myself bringing it everywhere. Finally using a polaroid doesn't feel like a CHORE! It literally fits in your pocket if you absolutely have to do that. The polaroid Go also comes with a wrist lanyard instead of a neckstrap. This is also another amazing choice because it keeps the overall profile compact and enjoyable to carry around.

In the land of digital cameras as a standard, the pictures from this camera are really retro - so much so that I can't be particularly happy with the results. First, you need ALOT of light to really get a somewhat decent shot -even with the flash on. No matter what I tried, the picture quality looked like it was taken 40 years ago. Coupled with a small photo, I can't really tell who the target audience is for this camera. But...if you're actually looking for that retro photo look, then this makes some sense. Watching the photo developing is like being whisked back in time. So on this retro theme, I have to note a few things: * I'm not a fan of the small size of the photos. Extra film comes in two packs of 8 and seems a bit expensive. You better make sure you take good pictures, since there's no simply deleting a bad one. * I had forgotten how much I like viewfinders. The one on this camera works fine and is even useful for selfies (the other side has a reflective finish). One problem though: If you have a bigger nose, using the viewfinder is rather uncomfortable. I guess I'm such a person since I couldn't really get the viewfinder all the way to my eye. * The flash is passable I guess. In darker rooms, some of the pictures still seemed too dark. * Loading and unloading film is very simple. I haven't checked, but I'm wondering if there's a recycling program for spent film cartridges. It seems kinda wasteful to throw them away. All in all, I think this camera appeals to a very narrow set of consumers looking for an old-fashioned look to their photos; and even for such a group of people, this camera feels only so-so.

Hi Keirmeister, I'm sorry to hear about your issues! The flash on the camera can reach about 5-6 feet maximum, so if your subject was further than that, the flash may not have been able to reach. Additionally, when shooting indoors with flash, if you have a big empty room behind your subject, it will tend to be dark because the flash can't reach beyond 5-6 feet. For best results, position your subject in front of a backdrop or wall so the flash has something to bounce off of, back to the camera. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service team at usa (at) polaroid (dot) com and we can help.

Updated Polaroid for the new crowd

I grew up with a black boxy Polaroid 600, and absolutely loved it. The updated body of the Now is a little more ergonomic than the vintage Polaroids. The film is smaller than the OG films but they were able to maintain that retro Polaroid look to the film. Gave it to my kid to learn to actually compose shots instead of snapping Willy nilly, and he’s blown away by the instant production of a picture. Great memories updated for a new generation. Love it.

Fun Camera that Met My Expectations

My expectations for this camera must have been reasonable because I was not disappointed in the overall experieence. A camera like this and at this price point is not expected to take great pictures. It is expected to deliver fun and sharing. This camera is great for bringing people together because you can take pictures at social or family events and then share them with others. The pictures take a while to develop and are not high quality, but the fact that they actually print on real paper is a huge bonus. I can't remember the last time I printed a picture that I took on my phone. Having a camera like this is a great conversation starter and gives your group something to pass around and admire. Given my comments above, it should be obvious whether or not you want to buy this camera based on the experience you are looking for. If you are looking for fun, nostalgic memories, and sharing new memories, this camera is for you. If you are looking for high quality prints you should consider other alternatives.

Something about polaroid pictures brings back great memories. The polaroid Go Camera does not disappoint. The camera itself is small enough to fit in your hand and great for kids to play around with. Easy to use… point shoot and wait for the picture. Highly recommended.

This instant camera is very cute and small to fit in any bag or purse. Although it is not pocket size. The picture quality was just ok, not that great. The camera comes with 2 sets of film which contains 8 photos each. It is very lightweight and can be carried anywhere.

My family has thoroughly enjoyed this camera! This is a great camera kit to get as it includes a good amount of films ready to go for your camera and the camera itself is simple to use! I really like that it is USB rechargeable, the last Polaroid camera I had used AA batteries which always went dead in the most inconvenient of times, this is easy enough to top off with a powerbank or a a wall charger and you are good to go! My only advice I want to give on this camera is to follow the directions carefully for letting the films develop, they need to not be shaken and to sit face down with minimal light exposure to develop nicely. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy this camera!

I was a little let down by the Polaroid Go Camera. I have the full size version and just love it. You almost have to have the perfect conditions to get a decent photo. I left this out during a get together over the weekend for everyone to use/play with and out of 15 photos maybe 2 turned out good. The unit it self is small and light weight but to big to pocket carry. I think when my kids are a little bigger they will have lots of fun with this camera.

    Wanted to Love It But…

The Polaroid Go Camera is so cute! I wanted to love this little camera and thought my 12 year old son would enjoy it too. Sadly, we were both underwhelmed. It is such a cute little Polaroid Camera with so much potential. First for the pluses. It fits in the palm of your hand and is so easy for on the go. Comes with a strap too. It’s fairly straightforward on how to use it and take photos with it. The selfie-feature is great, especially for teens. The small sized photos are perfect for scrap books and bulletin boards or would be cute in a school locker. Again, so much potential until you actually take a picture. The negatives are pretty much the poor quality of these cute little photos. We tried indoors with the flash and outdoors with and without the flash. The quality is just so poor. We tried full light and indirect light but still the photos came out pretty bad. They also took about 15 minutes to fully develop. We followed the directions exactly, but never could get a good photo. The only one that came out somewhat ok was a selfie my son took in full sun, so he was squinting. The biggest drawback to this camera is the cost of the film packs. It comes with 2 cartridges, each containing 8 photos. That’s 16 total pictures. We wasted a few figuring out how to use it and then another few with bad results. To replace the film is costly and just not worth it for the quality. I’ll let my son take it to theater camp or use up the last of the film, but I can’t say I would buy more. Just not worth it for subpar photos that are really tiny and take a long time to develop. Overall, it’s a nice idea and retro for those of us who grew up with Polaroids. I really wanted to love it because it was so cute, but I just wasn’t impressed.

I really wanted to like this camera but I am truly disappointed with the quality of the pictures. They are way too dark and look like they have been sitting around since they came out of one of the original polaroids. Without the flash, in a brightly lit room, the pictures come out dark...with the flash in a brightly lit room, the pictures come out...even darker for some reason. Really disappointed with this and expected more. I'd rather take my camera to a drug store and print the pictures from my photo app with a 70s/80s filter.

This camera was a gift for my nine year old for his birthday and he was so excited to open it up! It’s got just enough analog coolness so he thinks it’s awesome and I love to be reminded of the fun of watching a Polaroid develop! The instructions for using it are nice and clear and he could pretty easily follow the pictures with very few additional questions. It’s also nice and small and the perfect size for his young hands; we are loving it!

Cool little camera for goofing around. I used it out drinking with friends and got some cool shots. Some of the pics disappeared, but what do you expect. This camera motivated everyone to take out their phones and take even more pics. I already know I will be using this little novelty camera a lot.

I got this camera for my teenage daughter to use and these are her thoughts. It’s difficult to use and has a very large learning curve for someone who has never used a Polaroid. So for someone like me teenager who has never used a Polaroid before I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anybody who hasn’t either, I still haven’t figured it out quite yet despite watching multiple videos of people using it. The pictures it produced isn’t all that great, but if you want a quick memory of a fun time to share instantly it will produce.

My new polaroid now+ camera doesn't work properly. It doesn't switch on from time to time, it doesn't accept polaroid i-type films - which means it doesn't work with them at all, and it doesn't connect to iPhone app at all(i tried 3 different iPhones to make it work). I wrote to polaroid support and service teams - they responded only once with copied instructions on how to reset it, which I made before more than 5 times. I sent them a bunch of videos, but they do not respond anymore. They didn't return the money, they didn't try to fix it or help somehow.
