I tried the range boosters out for two weeks. When using them I actually got worse reception. I tried them and when my video and reception was lost I let the Mavic rise to RTH altitude and then let it hover. I removed the range boosters and then dropped back down to the altitude that I lost reception at and it actually did better with them off. I was actually able to drop 25 more feet before it lost reception again. It didn't work for me ( I was I heavily wooded areas) so I returned it.
