Police Sqoud on Blu-ray is the one of the most funniest movie you can watch.

A TV show on Blu-ray! Support TV on Blu-ray and physical media! Having this show on Blu-ray is a welcome title! Cancelled too early this is a great item for your collection if you enjoy the Airplane! and Makes Gun humor. The Leslie Nielsen interview is entertaining but he makes a good point why he thinks the show was cancelled so soon (after 6 episodes). The AV quality is fantastic, you can't tell it's age. The extras are plentiful and includes the show's cancellation letter from ABC.

This limited series spoofing police shows still entertains, but after you've seen the Naked Gun films, you'll have to remind yourself this is where this all started and the production is modest. Leslie Nielsen (an Airplane! alumni) was reunited with the Zucker brothers and plays a veteran cop, Lt Frank Drebin who in most cases, hasn't a clue. Alan North is his captain and when the two of them confer, they're assessments, suggestions and conclusions are often hilarious, but you have to listen for them in between the physical slapstick humor.

The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long. This is a little self-contained work of genius. In a way, I'm glad they only got to make 6 episodes, since I doubt this level of comedic invention could be sustained much longer than that. If you like the Naked Gun, you absolutely must go back to it's beginnings here. Plus, the episodes were shot on 35mm film so the transfers look fantastic

This series, a precursor to the popular Naked Gun movies, is every bit as funny, if not more so. This Blu-ray is a great clean transfer of the television show and looks as crisp as a new television show. The only gripe I have is mostly the fault of the studio that made this show as only 6 episodes was made in its entirety before the series was cancelled because it was just too smart for its regular tv run. A must for fans of the Naked Gun movies.

Police Squad may only be six episodes but it's a classic that spawned the Naked Gun trilogy and inspired countless others. Leslie Nielsen is a comedy legend.

A little bit dated, but still very funny, you just have to pay attention to everything going on in each scene; if you listen to it from the kitchen, you'll miss half of the jokes.
