I first got acquainted with the franchise via the Naked Gun movies. Picked this up to watch the series for the first time.

Police Squad aired in a limited run on television. It was filled with quick sight gags, puns, double entendres, and parodies. For those that have a limited sense of humor it probably comes over as just being "dumb." The series eventually led to 3 theatrical films under the Naked Gun franchise.

Sometimes shows are just too ahead of their time to be truly appreciated by the masses, this is one of them. Some of the jokes are dated, but its still better then a lot of what's on TV today. Seeing the origin of many of the sight gags from the Naked Gun films was a fun bonus too. If only more episodes had been made.

This is a funny show, but you have to get the humor.

One of the best bargains out there. A whole series on one disc for a low price. The movies are good, but all the best bits are here, too.

This is a very funny, crazy series, and its kind of a shame they didn't get to make more episodes. At least they made a trilogy of movies though!

I never realized this existed until finding it at Best Buy. Watched them all in 1 day, didn't take long. Boy did I laugh. Now some stuff from Naked Gun makes more sense.

This short lived series was before its time - great comedy in the style of the "Airplane" movies.

This a great video if you like "slap stick" comedy.

It's actually really good the only catch is you must pay complete attention because so many of the jokes are visual. I love Leslie Nielsens work it's been the case for everything I've seen of his whether it was his best work or not and I'd suggest anyone who likes him or the Naked Gun films watch this set.

I remember waiting for these episodes when I was a kid. It was a spin off of the Naked Gun movies. Just as funny but a little tamer for TV. Silly fun for the entire family. Leslie Nielson is great and each episode contains a barrel of laughs for everyone.

This show is hilarious, and it's a shame there are so few episodes. It's great to see this show on DVD, and its special features are good. Highly recommended.
