I did a lot of research on sound bars and was going to go with the vizio brand. But I walked into my local Best Buy store and saw this Polk on display. And then found it on sale. Bought it. And I am glad I got it. The bass is amazing and it can get very loud without distorting the sound. Alexa is a nice feature. And connection was very easy to do.

I love Polk Audio products, and this system connects easily, Bluetooth works great, bass kicks! I have only a couple issues. Sometimes it’s difficult to get it to connect to HDMI as it tries to connect to Bluetooth, but this seems only to be an issue after a power outage where our wireless router also gets reset and the solution has been to wait for the router to reboot and then unplug and replug the Polk system. Not too big a deal, I wouldn’t say that’s their fault, more so Florida’s bipolar weather. My second issue, although the remote allows you to turn the voice up to have better vocal clarity, it’s still sometimes not enough and the vocal eq range seems muffled by the rest of the eq. But for the price, can’t beat the sound quality.

I might be doing it wrong, but it’s kind of annoying to hear one amazon say it can’t play music while the other one says it will (and does) because they’re grouped, so different music doesn’t play at the same time. It would be best if you don’t have other Alexas near it. Sound is decent, though the “voice” enhancement doesn’t do much. The hookup for to put a hdmi streaming device directly into the bar is great. I also can’t get this green circle life to stop blinking when is use. The Sub is also not very good looking. Also the remote is line of sight, which is never preferred. So I guess, I would get this only If I really wanted an Alexa product and/or had limited HDMI ports on your TV. Otherwise I’d get a better looking one.

After much research and evaluation, I purchased this Polk Command Bar. So far, Alexa has worked flawlessly. The sound is rich and smooth. I get all the bass I want from the Command Bar. I can feel the music and absolutely love what I am hearing. If there is a lacking feature, I would say it is the mid level audio. The unit has a selectable Night Mode, Sports Mode, Movie Mode and Music Mode. They all work well for their intended use. I tend to get the best audio for tv watching from the sport mode. I’ve seen negative reviews on this unit and I’ve really tried to find some. Ultimately, I simply cannot find any issues that would make me say, “no way”, and drive it back to the store. Setup was not what I’d call super easy and it took about 45 minutes for me to complete. Since setup completion, I’ve had zero operational issues. Everything runs smooth and I continue to enjoy it every day.

This soundbar sounds great when it works, and it does work about 75% of the time. Anytime there is an update to the Polk app, I have to reset and re-add the device to the app. It is very annoying. About once a week or so I have to reboot the speaker because Alexa stops working. The subwoofer takes a long time to connect; sometimes about 3 minutes into a movie the subwoofer will finally kick in. I gave this three stars because it really does sound good and clear.

Very good sound and comes with built in Amazon Alexa. However; I got this for my son's apartment at college and apparently the WIFI setup with Alexa has contraints where it will not work with apartment wifi.

This is my first sound bar so I dont have much to compare to. The sound is nice and crisp, the subwoofer is powerful for its size. Overall I'd say this is a great buy for the sub $200 market if you can get it on sale.

Great voice sound (5 stars); good overall sound for the money (4 stars). I can now watch without closed captioning. However, a very frustrating "feature" is Alexa (zero stars) I was unable to connect to Alexa via my Amazon account because of the Polk App, which does not work for this. The app is for your phone, and amazon requires the phone in the two-factor authentication. When you try to get the code from the text, the Polk-Alexa login app reverts to login to Amazon again. I tried many times, and different methods including changing to email authentication. Basically the Alexa is not accessible. I wasted an hour on this then gave up and watched TV. You got to wonder why Polk would want to associate their good speaker product with a horrible non-functioning app and Alexa which cannot be accessed.

This sound bar has a good clean sound big enough to watch a movie and feel like you are in a theater. Has built in Alexa that can be used to control. The only problem with that is it hears "Alexa" when similar words are said.

This was for my 15 yo son birthday. He loves it, a little too much for a bedroom but that is why he loves it. Booming bass and nice mid and highs to go with it. Wish I bought a second for living room. This is one I believe you get more than what you paid for in overall sound. If you are really particular about crystal clear crisp highs and mids sound, then spend $500+ to get what it takes to beat this system. Couldn't be happier with Polk.

The pros: * The unit is stylish looking * The integrated Amazon Echo Alexa is a bonus * Easy to use remote * Set up was fairly easy * It has a nice lower profile so it doesn't block any part of the TV The cons: - Alexa is not quite up to speed. I'd like to use voice commands for my smart home devices. I also want to use it as my primary Echo in the living g room, but it does not support several Alexa skills as of yet - The bass on the subwoofer is very underwhelming to me. Mind you, I don't want a heavy bass (The kind that would vibrate the walls down). I just want to have a sense of the bass when watching a movie

I bought this system for my in-laws. They were using only sound from the TV. It sounded horrible. This polk sound bar added depth to the sound of anything they decided to watch and it’s subwoofer was a great addition as well. It was easy to set up even though they chose not to we were able to do it in less than 10 minutes. The sub woofer is by the couch and the sound bar is right under the TV. The sound bar is a little bigger than normal I must say. I am not happy about the Alexa addition because I am still on able to get it to work. My in-laws don’t have an Amazon account and Alexa account or anything so it’s hard to convince them to sign up for anything when all they want is good sound to the TV. This portion of the system needs to be a little bit easier.

I was skeptical about how this would produce "surround sound" for my home theatre but it was amazing! I was in the market for something simple but produced great sound so when the sales person recommended a sound bar I didn't know. With the built in Alexa dot, it made it all the more cool and simple to use. It connected via Bluetooth and the sound quality and bass was a great mix!

Quick purchase,Easy hook up. Great sound. Plus alexa. Cant go wrong with Polk audio!

The sound quality of this sound bar/subwoofer is amazing for his cheap it is. The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because sometimes it never stays connected to my device :/

On the in store demo as well as in our home the sound is Incredible and well worth the price. Setup was easy as I read the instructions and downloaded the correct app. Now, one of the biggest reasons I purchased this speaker is the Alexa Intergation and, while that is present it is missing features such as setting reminders and dropping in on other rooms in the house. I’m sure there is more missing but those 2 are huge and I cannot believe they are missing.

The sound quality is excellent. It fits nicely on my desk. The Polk Audio app is so-so but works well enough. My biggest complaint is the built in Alexa feature. It's terrible. It worked for a couple weeks and then just stopped working. Tried everything to fix it and no matter what I do it starts failing again. Second biggest complaint is the Wi-Fi. It has a trash wifi adapter that constantly goes out and has to be reconfigured to get it working again. If you can get this sound bar without the Alexa feature, that would be best. Like I said it sounds great but has terrible features.

After trying Sonos and LG high end setups from $800-1000 decided to give this a go. WIth extended return period and warranty how could I go wrong? While I will not waste your time telling you this is a direct head to head challenger to a complete Sonos setup, but it excellent. Great sound and Alexa responds well.

I love the sound this unit gives to tv and music. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was the remote. It is generic and not very functional. I love the Alexa capability!
