I bought these speakers for the stereo system in my home office because I didn't have enough space available for any of the bigger floor-standing units. (I needed room for my subwoofers.) I had a set of very old Sony speakers and these Polk Audio are a huge improvement. While the design of this pair is for use as secondary speakers, I connected them up to my Sony STR-DH750's main outputs and they work fine in that role. Beyond their small footprint, other features I found attractive were the 45Hz - 27kHz frequency response and the 150W max power rating. One surprise: The shape of these units is a triangular column with its hypotenuse surface on the back side. Other features and notes: A bipole/dipole mode switch allows suppression of the side tweeter, although I'm not sure why anyone would want less sound. Each speaker comes with a bracket installed on its back for mounting the unit on a wall. I waited for over a year for Best Buy to place the unit on sale and finally caught it for over $90 off on Memorial Day.

Highly recommend the Polk speakers....great high's and lows. Compliment for the RTIA7 speakers. Buy these...you will not be disappointed.

The rest of my speakers in this home theater setup are Polks. These surround sound speakers blend in perfectly with the others. I would highly recommend them as long as your space can handle their size as they are fairly large.
