For the past 6 years I have owned a Yamaha wired system and I finally made the switch. I have always bought jbl for my car and have always been pleased. The sb400 is an amazing sound bar I have mine set up downstairs in a 1700 sq ft basement that is wide open and I love it! I can crank the volume up and vibrate the plates in the kitchen! And while the volume is that loud the words coming from the show of music is crystal clear! The only downfall is that the remote has no Bluetooth button to change the source back to Bluetooth once I've changed it to optical.

Looked at a lot of sound bars. This one came in at the right price. Polk is a good name in audio. Sounds good

Excellent sound quality and simple to set up. Hooked up the sound bar and the wireless sub immediately paired.

I was planning to purchase a less expensive model but decided upon this one since it has the voice enhancing mode. It was very easy to set up. The sub woofer works well. Very pleased with the purchase.

Good quality sound, simple installation. And it was a bargain! (Open box - nothing critical missing)

The voice adjustment, music, and movie options are GREAT! I can hear dialog now without having to turn the volume up full blast!! Love the bass, too.

Big upgrade in sound for the money. Feels like your in a theater. But remote a little disappointing.

This is an okay sound bar but i would not buy it again. The sub woofer booms and echos and Polk customer service is not very good.

Best value and great sound heard this speaker product in the 1980s and the sound is great . Won't disappoint I would buy another for another room

Well, pull the trigger when I saw these $250 off regular price. I trusted the brand and relied on mostly great reviews. Setup was super easy. I even figured out quick how to teach my Dish remote to work with it and my Sony Bravia TV. About 3 hours later, first problems started appearing. The unit had a mind of its own...it would suddenly switch to different sources..USB and Bluetooth. Or, this has become most common, it will simply MUTE itself in the middle of a movie. Or hey, it will just decide to turn off altogether. So I read up on it and this is like the most common problem. Probably why they are getting away from this model. I just got bad luck I guess because if it worked right, it would be a steal. It sounds very good but I dont see how people would pay $500+ for it without expectation of superb Polk quality. So I am dissapointed. Less than 24 hours later, I am returning it to BBY and I alreaady decided to get the Bose Soundtouch 300. Might as well spend the money.

We were looking to get the best system for clear dialog. Movie and television sound producers seem to have forgotten that dialog is more important than special effects and background noise. Polk Audio to the rescue!. The remote control allows us to emphasize dialog and suppress low frequency bass. It works really well, especially if I keep the sub-woofer turned off. When we listen to music or if we are watching special effects movies we turn the sub-woofer back on and adjust settings to our taste.

Sounds amazing. Clarity is beautiful and the bass is surprisingly deep considering the sub size.

Improved sound quality is a must when watching action movies...LOL. This suits my needs just fine. Sound quality is superb for the price.

We were tired of having to turn up the volume attempting to hear the dialogue while watching TV. Now with the PolkAudio sound bar we can increase the dialogue volume with out increasing the background music. Perfect! Thanks Polk & Best Buy

I've had other sound bars before but the bass alone is outstanding and the ability to isolate the voice portion of tv broadcast really helps my father who has issues separating the music and voice while watching a movie.

Over all sound quality is good . Bass is very good, the voice could be a little clearer.

Works well and easy install. I would have given it 5 stars but there was an issue with the sound when I hit a button on the remote. Had to google it to figure out how to get it back.

The sound is very good for the price. Bluetooth Is Awesome on it. I can be outside and still play my music. And be able to hear it.

Did a lot of review research on this Polk sound bar. I had bought a Sony sound bar but it wasn't loud enough for our open living room with cathedral ceiling. The Polk has no trouble being heard throughout the entire room. Love the voice enhancement feature. Like most other reviews the remote is very small. It works fine but has the potential to be easily lost. That isn't enough to downgrade this unit from a 5 star. Buy with confidence. My father inlaw liked it so well. He went and bought one the next day.
