I would highly recommend this soundbar if sound quality is priority. I tested in store versus a Sony and a JBL in the same price range - this Polk easily sounds better than those. It looks great as well, however the remote is cheaply made and needs to be pointed directly at the soundbar to register a command. $500.00 might be a little steep for this unit so I would wait for a sale or price match opportunity.

Polk makes great sound equipment. This sound bar is no different. It's small, but has a big output and includes a 7" sub. It has some features that some of the more expensive models do not have like separate vocal increase and subwoofer control, plus a lot of other nice additions like Bluetooth.

I was ready to buy a lower priced soundbar but I tried one more. The Polk was, far and away, the best sounding system on display.

Overall this is a great soundbar for its price point. My fiancé loves the ability to adjust the voice levels during movies so that you can keep the volume consistent and don't have to keep adjusting between scenes. Subwoofer is excellent for this price point. Great for a smaller to medium sized room. Only issue I have is that the remote would not learn the volume command from my Samsung ks8000 tv.

Sometimes the power insert is loose and has to be re-inserted. Also seems to be slow (all new electronics equipment seems slow to "warm up"). The control device is so small that it is easily misplaced. Concerned that it will be a big deal to get a new specific battery/when we have plenty of extra AA & AAA batteries around. The subwoofer however is a good idea--hope that is doesn't fall "out of synch."

Simple set-up and Bluetooth linkage. Im very satisfied with this purchase because I first purchased the Samsung 2.1 500 but system was disappointing. Only drawback is the remote controls size, it's so small and easy to lose.

Can't believe just 2 components sound this awesome. Simple to install and an A+ for Bluetooth, bass, and voice controls.

Standard tv speakers were very weak. Setup was almost too easy. Only 4 stars because I haven't had a chance to fiddle with voice and bass adjustments

We got really tired of watching TV shows and movies that had so much background or special effects noise the you couldn't hear the dialog. And perhaps Hollywood needs to hire a few more voice coaches. Ever try to understand what Danny on Hawaii 50 is saying? Well, Polk Audio's Magi-Fi Sound bar to the rescue! This sound bar has a separate volume control for the center channel which helps considerably. It also has a bass control that helps too. We can almost hear every word that Danny mutters! I rarely use the sub-woofer when watching TV and when we do I keep the bass all the way down. It's a different story when listening to music. I keep all the controls at mid-range and the sound is terrific!

Acceptable replacement for my 5.1 surround sound system. I listened to many sound bars before settling on this one. A bit more expensive than some but I liked the somewhat deeper tones than the ones that were a bit less money. Good feature of being able to separately control system volume, voice volume and bass volume. Don't fool yourself into believing you will be getting decent surround sound reproduction, that just isn't going to happen with almost any of these sound bars.

I listened to several sound bars in the price range of the Polk and it was the best sounding of the bunch. You can make it pretty base(y) if you want. Only draw back, hence the 4 star rating, is a tiny remote control that can get lost easily. Set up was easy as well. The only sound bars that compared well were a couple of hundred dollars more. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Got this system open box for my mom. She loves it! I love it! I need to get one for myself. The quality is crystal clear, the bass is everything when you're listening to music and most of all, very easy to set up.

Being able to turn the volume up on just the voices is fantastic!! This allows everyone to hear people talking over sound effects and background noise. The Bluetooth sync of the subwoofer worked without a hiccup!

It improves the sound quality greatly. I love being able to adjust settings. My husband has hearing loss, background noise interferes with dialog. We can tone down the background so the voice is more clear.

Easy set-up and great sound for the price point. The isolated center-channel volume helps to make dialog easier to hear.

Got this sound bar at half off ($250), had been looking at an LG but so glad I saw this on sale! The sound is amazing and the remote makes adjusting the levels for overall volume, bass and voices SO EASY!! Upgrading from a receiver set-up with old speakers and the difference was crazy!!! This unit is probably worth every penny, even over the sales price. *Knock on wood

Love the sound bar you can hear what they are saying along with the music playing in the background. (No more saying what did they say?) Has great sound

I bought this on a whim, I was just chatting with the associate about how I had a hard time hearing voice through my surround system, he suggested this bar with it's own voice control, and he was right it works great, I can have the voice up louder than the background and score music, which sometimes drowns out the talking. This thing is great at least for me, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to hear them talking in movies other than just the surrounding music and action.

easy to setup and begin watching. had a little trouble connecting sound bar to it, but figured it out rather quickly. great picture.

This has Great sound!! I had a hard time setting up the TV remote, but once set up I love it, I also talked my folks into one and they love it also!!
