Sounds excellent for it's size. I got a new tv and my old polk t30 (I think is the model) wouldn't fit underneath. I needed to figure something out and decided on this. It was a good bit more money, but it sounds like it too. I was afraid with it being smaller than my old one that it wouldn't sound as good, but I was wrong. None of my local stores had it in stock so I ordered it online and drove over an hour away to get this. (Not the first time I've done that with Best Buy) Surprisingly it's a lot heavier than my old one too which when it comes to speakers is a good indication of quality. It doesn't disappoint! Attached pic shows it under 75" tv. It does look small under there but still sounds great.

Great sound! I’m no audio expert but the sound coming out of this speaker is phenomenal. I use it as a center speaker… with my two Polk Audio tower speakers for our tv system. My wife loves it and she comes from a career in the movie industry.

I bought this to replace an old center speaker that has 2 mids and a tweeter which I do not regret replacing. The dialog is not bad at all, depends on the movies that I’m watching. When watching atmos or dts x movies, the sound is great.

This is a really nice center channel speaker. It really adds a lot of my tv setup. I’m getting much better sounding vocals than I did with my previous 2.1 setup. Highly recommended.

This speaker sounds great, especially for having such a slim profile and smaller speakers than most other center speakers. The cabinet is high quality -- mostly meaning it is heavy and solid -- making the idea of mounting it to the wall a bit of a challenge that I haven't tackled yet, but it still looks good sitting on the media center under the TV. I'm using this to complement a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 603 tower speakers, and as amazing as those speakers are, the Polk XT35 definitely does what it is intended to do and improves understanding dialogue when watching the TV. I'm happy with this speaker.

Very well made center channel speaker. Handles power well and has a vey clean sound. Its powered by a Sony STR-DH590 (also bought at Best Buy). Have owned it for 3 years now and am very pleased with it. Only dowside is for me and this is only my personal downside. The speaker is a little tall for my setup. I have an LG 86UM8070PUA (Bought thru AAFES..Army Retired) and its height is a little low to place speaker in front of TV.(Blocks remote sensor). As per my TV stand setup...shelf underneath TV in enclosed on 3 sides open front. The Speaker is bass reflex so sound can sometimes be to boomy or muddy depending on movies i watch. Have turned down bass and raised mids and highs and placed crossover at about 110 hz. Any higher and I will have a gap in my music and TV sound from center and front floor speakers also polk audios. Overall i enjoy it very much hope this information helps.

I purchased this because, a) I am getting older and b) and, for some reason, TV and movie sound mixers have decided that dialog all need to be all whispers, so the background soundtrack in the surround sound can drown out the vocals of the actors. Therefore, since most of the vocals come from the center channel, I need one that projects a better presence. And I think we have a hit. This ported center channel has more speakers to project more found at lower amplifier volumes. It can also do more of the heavy lifting, especially, against larger front and side channels. Dialog is presented with more depth, like that coming from modern sound bars, which typically do center great, but not as well on the surround. You will need to return your system setup, after the install, which is plug-and-play.

Matches my other Polk speakers. Amazing sound from a compact size.

I purchased the XT35 at full price ($299) hoping to pick up more dialogue in my home theater setup comprised of all in ceiling speakers. It worked. If you were sitting directly in-front of the speaker it added a ton of mid range and even a bit of bass. At an off angle of more than 15-20 degrees the sound quality started to drop off dramatically. For a lot of people that wont matter, but with my setup it just wasnt working for a couple of seats in my living room. My kitchen is adjacent to my setup and I typically watch TV while cooking at roughly a 35 degree angle from the TV/Speaker, and the center channel audio was quite muffled at that angle. I was hoping for a bit more bang for my buck. The next week the Klipsch refence R34C went on sale for the same price as this so I exchanged, and there's a noticeable difference in quality. Every seat in the house gets the same quality, even if I step 10 feet over into my kitchen it still sounds crisp and clean. Pros: - Size: Very slim profile, similar to a sound bar. - Looks: Very clean and simple look, loved the black housing with the grey mesh filter on the front. Cons: - Sound Quality at anything other than directly in-front of the speaker. This review, like all reviews, is subject to my preferences and home setup, so for a lot of people this speaker would be perfect, but for mine it just didn't work out.

I’d give it 5 stars, but Best buy was a horrible experience. No so-called experts, just normal people trying to get by. So when i went to ask about the “Everything needed online, and all that was needed. I still had to come back to the store multiple times, and spend more money to get what was required! The bundled items online gave me mismatched brands which can cause delays, and not even the required front speakers were associated with the “everything needed”. At the store I specifically asked for an audio expert, so they can confirm I was purchasing everything i needed, he answered every thing I said with a yes! I got home did my install, and my new receiver said I was missing required Front speakers, so I had to go Back to the store, luckily black friday had bookshelf speakers, same brand great price! Center speaker is great during movies, and video games, music too! Makes you really feel like you set up your own mini theater. Happy with product, im glad i did my own research, also that im Done with soundbars and connectivity issues with subwoofers!!

The speaker sounds great and fits the smaller space very well.

Not really a true audiophile. But I wanted something decent, that wouldn't break the bank. Purchased a new tv a few months back. Had to crank the volume all the way up to even hear a whisper! I'm guessing due to the speaker placement, and them getting thinner and thinner. Did some research. And decided on Polk. Like I said. First true sound system. And Polk didn't disappoint one bit! As odd as it sounds. This center speaker. Paired with two towers and a powered woofer. Even makes commercials enjoyable. Everything is clear, crisp highs and thunderous lows. If your looking for a decent head turner. Look no further!

Compared to what I had, nothing, this is game changing. I can hear all of the on screen conversations with ease. Love that it's low profile for a clean look.

This center speaker changed my livingroom experience from night to day. I didn’t realize what difference a powerful center channel speaker would make. Previously I used a small Klipsh center speaker (fairly old) on my new Denon AVR-S660H. The old center speaker sounded like grainy garbage and I thought I messed up the setup on my AVR. I was wrong, it was my garbage old center speaker.

My other center channel failed. So after researching what center channel system would perform best with mine. Sony receiver with 4k HDMI style unit... I got home in boxed and quickly realized this was a serious bang for the buck. Solid feel of weight and density. I took time to place it and plug it in. I had to go bacl and adjist my surround sound level on the center channel. This was due to the efficiency of the speaker. Sounds amazing......HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
