Good Option for the Magnifi Max Soundbar

These speakers are really the rear firing speakers that are included in the Magnifi Max Plus package. They are an upgrade package for the Magnifi Max 3.1 soundbar to 5.1 sound. They don't work with anything else. At $150, they are a bit on the pricey side, but if you want 5.1 sound they pair easily with the Magnifi Max bar and expand the sound very nicely. The Magnifi Max soundbar comes with a remote that allows you to control the volume and balance to these speakers. NOTE: Make sure to check that your sound source (TV) is providing a 5.1 audio stream to the bar, not just Stereo.

These are active wireless rear speakers. No cords need to be hooked up to the soundbar wireless connection that way but they still need to be plugged into a wall outlet. Which is perfectly fine if you want GREAT surround sound for a apartment. I went to BB since they are a Polk auth distributor. Polk had a sale these rears and the soundbar and sub for $549. I FINALLY found the soundbar I like actually love since it has HDCP 2.2....Would HIGHLY recommend. I will write review on the actual sound bar too once they add in on my purchase history

Have been very impressed thus far. These are very well made and make syncing with the soundbar system incredibly easy. Everything you need to get going out of the box is included. Will definitely be buying more Polk products in the future.

Super easy to setup with Bluetooth! Work great and I don’t have to wire them in. Powerful and add the additional 2 channels to my 3.1 Polk sound bar and the sound bar remote controls them separately. Love them.

If you want true surround sound with your Polk Manifi Max soundbar, this is the ticket. Just don't expect too much. Yeah, they work, but volume is very limited so it is often hard to tell if they are even on. If you crank them up all the way, they are prone to random, annoying popping. And let's face it, most of the surround sound that comes with streaming content (which is what most people watch) is pretty weak to begin with. These sound much better if you are playing directly from a Blu-ray disc. Louder. More distinct. Most surround sound with streaming content is weak and mushy. Of course part of that may have to do with the fact that the soundbar itself does no support some of the best sound codecs. Plain old Dolby Digital and DTS are it. No DTS HD Master Audio or DTS X. No Dolby Digital True HD or Atmos. It IS better than having no surround speakers at all, but not up to the standards of any modern sound system that supports all the new codecs and can pump out enough power to the surround speakers so you can hear them all of the time. These are not really worth the money in my view.

Paired with the magnifi max sound bar, they sound very well together and very simple to pair.

Even though Best Buy sold these next to the Polk Omni 3.1, they do not work with it. The speakers have to be the S2

I’ve only had the rear speakers for a few weeks but they are working great. Good sound and simple syncing with the sound bar.

Good 5.1 option for Magnifi Max owners but pricey

These speakers only work with Magnifi Max but they do work well once paired, which can be a bit of pain. That said, they sound good and have plenty of power since each one has its on AC power brick. If you really want a 5.1 system, it is more economical to buy the Magnifi Max package that already includes these speakers. About $50 cheaper than adding on later to to a 3.1 system. This is quite a bit of money for a couple of small speakers. And given the price, I was surprised they came with no mounting hardware whatsoever. Not even a couple of screws to match the key slots in the back. Just the speakers and the power bricks..
