    I purchased the speakers on price and the reputation of Polk Audio. I will admit that I did not listen the them prior to purchase. There are very few options where I live. I chose to make the purchase at Best Buy on line, because I assumed I could deal with the local store if there were any problems. The speakers sounded like they were still in the box. Dull, muffled and lifeless. The bottom end was muddy, highs were shrill, and no presence. Imaging was non existent. I am using a mid priced Denon A/V receiver which I was very happy with my old speakers. Poor dynamic range, Just plain blah! They became painful to listen to. I returned them. Was surprised and unhappy to discover that the Best Buy Marketplace vendor World Wide Stereo would not cover the return shipping cost. So I rented a pair of awful speakers for 10 days for $132.50. Sad face :-(
