I am impressed - this is my first purchase from Polk. My ears do not hold "earbuds", so I needed an alternative. These stay in the ears even during long runs. The sound quality is very good, and the design lets in some external sound - mostly a safety concern while running. I am not a fan of the sticky, silicon coated wires, but they are tolerable. The value is not bad either!

Polk puts out excellent products and these headphones are no exception. The sound comes thru just perfect when I am doing my treadmill walks.

I've been looking for a good pair of sports headphones that I can wear to the gym and while running. I am a big fan of Polk Audio, so I was excited to see that they had begun selling headphones.
While the sound is pretty decent, these headphones are very uncomfortable. The over-the-ear portion is way too malleable, and is constantly bending out of shape while I'm wearing them. It should be bendable enough to find just the right position to fit your ear. The need for occasional minor adjustments is expected with this type of headphone. But this thing keeps bending out of shape, causing me to have to readjust it every 10 minutes. It is very frustrating. I am going to return them and find something a little more comfortable...

I have had these headphones for about 4 months and I use them everyday and have found the sound quality to be as good as my Bose and love the wrap around ear design. I have heard people complain about the comfort and dont understand their point of view. I have worn them for 4 hours straight and have never experienced any discomfort. Keep up the good work Polk Audio

Nice, but a little muddy

Love the bells and whistles, the non-tangle cord, the yur-buds style ear canals, the iPhone controls. Feels like they could do well on a triathalon. But the sound is just a little muddy. Highs are good, but it just sounds muddy. Switching to the Large ear buds helped a bit, but still weak. Going to try the 3000's.

I am a avid Mountain Biker, traveler, and live on the phone, these do it all.
Getting the fit correct takes some trail and error, but once the" right" tips are on, they go in, stay put, and sound really good. The cord selection is awesome if you want to clip a "Shuffle" to your helmet, or collar, and have 3' less cord to deal with. Attach the "long cord "( with mic and controls) and use it as a" handsfree" for my I-Phone.
I have several sets of headphones in my gear bag, the 1000's are my "go to" set....so far survived a creek crash, rain rides, and most impressive getting banged around with my gear with 0 issues.

Expensive for in-ear sport headphones. Paid up for name brand Polk Audio. The left speaker blew after first week. Not the quality I expected from Polk. These are terribly difficult to place around ear and insert due to the "flexible" ear hooks. They also do not hold the shape once in place. I did not know that the ear hooks were not rigid when i purchased them. The ear hooks are made to adjust and mold to the shape of your ear. This concept does not work - total pain. Besides all of that, THEY BROKE W/IN THE FIRST WEEK. If i could give ZERO's for scores, i would.
