They are not too bad but I couldn’t use them for work because to get them to the settings I need I would have needed to download something to the computer but would be great for personal use

Summary:
- Pros: Great wireless headset that has excellent sound quality on both ends (reception and transmission). Outstanding battery life. Very comfortable. Amazing range. And easy-to-use/intuitive app with very useful settings. I would absolutely recommend this product!
- What could be better: The auto-pause music when taking the headset off didn't reliably work for me. Same for the auto-mute when talking to someone. Hearing your own voice through the headset was very strange / a bit annoying to me at first. Luckily, there is a "Sidetone" setting that can be set to low and that fixed it.
Details:
- The headset looks great and they are very comfortable! I was wondering whether I'd be able to use them most of the day and I was happily surprised they didn't bother me at all. Sometimes I would take them off for a bit when my ears get a bit hot. To be clear, I did not feel they made my ears super hot, but as it's natural, surrounding your ears with anything would eventually make them feel a bit hot.
- The most important aspect of any headset is the sound quality when listening and talking and this is where the headset shines! Music sounds great and everyone I talked to said they could listen to me perfectly whether I was using my phone or during virtual meetings (using Microsoft Teams).
- Pairing with my iPhone and with my laptop was a snap, as I would expect from a high-quality device. For the laptop, the instructions highly recommend using the included BT700 Bluetooth adapter instead of the laptop's built-in Bluetooth. However, I'm happy to report that using the adapter or the built-in bluetooth work flawlessly! The documentation says that using the sound is much better using the BT700 bluetooth adapter as well as it gives a greater range (up to a whooping 50 meters / 164 feet). I didn't test it that far, but while my laptop was on the second floor, I could listen to music without any issues or glitches while I was on the first floor. Same when I was in a phone call and I'd leave my phone on a different floor. The connection never dropped.
- Amazing battery life! Documentation says it can have up 16hrs to 19hrs of talk time and 24hrs to 40hrs of listening time depending on whether the Noice Cancellation is turned on or off. All I can say is that I used it for 3 days straight working remotely, on and off in video calls and listening to music, and I haven't had to charge them. This takes away the anxiety of running out of battery during an important call.
- Ease-of-use app:
-- Intuitive app with very useful settings and easy-to-understand names and explanations
-- When pairing to my iPhone for the first time, it gave me a link to download the app. That makes it so much easier to "want" to install it as I was hesitant to try to find the app and install it.
-- The app does Not ask you to create an account which is very welcome. It gets installed in a snap, and it immediately connects to the headset. If you have the headset on, you can experience any changes you make to the settings instantaneously
-- The app includes a “Find my headset” feature. At first, I was not sure in practice how much I’d use it given that the phone has to be connected via Bluetooth to the headset for this feature to work. That means that if you forget the headset somewhere where Bluetooth is out of range like in the car, at a cafeteria, hotel room, etc, that feature won’t work. However, I quickly realized that given it's a wireless headset that I was using most of the day, it was easy for me to walk around my house (where I work remotely) and take them off in various places while eating or doing anything else. Having this "Find my headset" feature is a welcome addition as it would make the headset beep/sound making it much easier to find when misplaced.
- Useful headset buttons! I really like the sensory approach and layout of all buttons. You get a nice feedback when touching the center of the headphone to play/pause/answer a call. The volume up and volume down have a tiny "+" and "-" notch allowing you to know where to press without looking. Mute and noise cancellation buttons are easy to find without looking.
- Cons / Could be better:
-- For a better call experience, I found that Noise Canceling must be ON when talking. Otherwise, you can hear your own voice, faintly, but to me it’s a bit annoying/uncomfortable. This is true even when the “Sidetone” setting is set to “Low” in the app (setting it higher than that is even more annoying as you can even hear your breathing if you breath somewhat hard). Therefore, I know leave Noise Canceling all the way up/on and that solves the issue.
-- Auto-Pause Music not always pauses the music when taking the headphones off. I thought I might be doing something wrong because sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. I gave up trying as that feature is not as important to me.
-- Auto-Mute when taking the headset off did not work reliably for me. If I take them off and they're in my hand or put them away, then it would absolutely work. However, if I would just let the headset sit around my neck, it would only sometimes auto-mute. The good thing is that there are 2 other easy ways to manually mute: there is a mute button that can be pressed or you can swing the microphone boom up.
-- Active Noise Cancelation (ACN) doesn’t work as I would expect. Even when it’s totally off, I can barely hear the noises/conversations around me. This can be a good thing for some/most. In my case, I sometimes like to hear a bit what’s happening around me. I had hoped that turning it off would accomplish this but that’s not the case.

A Super Comfy & Premium Productivity Headset

This is an outstanding wireless communications headset if you're a remote worker or you work at the office. As an employee that works in a hybrid environment, I've been able to put this headset through its paces at the office and at home. From start to finish, this has been a seamless experience. Setup was a breeze and worked right out of the box with the included USB bluetooth dongle. Plantronics also thoughtfully included a USB-C adapter to use with the bluetooth USB-A dongle in case you have no available standard USB-A ports on your computer. The construction and build quality of both the headset and the charging stand feel very premium. I love that Plantronics used a rigid aluminum outer headband to add to its durability. Just by holding it you can tell that this thing will take years of abuse. The retractable inner headband and ear cups are made of a very soft and plush memory foam material that makes it extremely comfortable to wear. These are easily the most comfortable productivity headphones I've ever used; perfect for those long meetings!
Over the last several days, I've used this headset a lot in Zoom and Team meetings. I can happily report that in both applications the headset was instantly recognized as the default audio option when checking the audio settings. There really wasn't anything else for me to do other than start using it! I asked my co-workers for feedback on how I sounded during our group meetings and they all reported that I sounded clear. I've also had several one on one meetings with co-workers and they also reported that I sounded crystal clear when I asked for their feedback. The headset audio from others also sounds very clear on my end. Even when walking away about 15 to 20 feet, the call quality remained phenomenal. The active noise cancelling on this headset is fantastic. You get two different levels of ANC in case you want to allow a small amount of background audio to bleed in a bit just in case you want to remain somewhat attentive to your surroundings. I also love the short and unobtrusive flip-up mic boom with its built-in mute button (you can also rotate the mic boom upwards to mute or take the headset off). Not only is the short boom mic more aesthetically pleasing, but I love not having a long stem that extends to the lips which can easily become cumbersome throughout the day. Lastly, the on the fly buttons located on the outer earcups are convenient and easy to use for things like lowering or raising the volume or activating Siri/Google Assistant if you're using this with your mobile.
This is easily one of the most premium headset offerings that you can get for the office. Its performance so far definitely lives up to it's name. However, there were a couple of minor improvements that I would have liked to have seen. Micro USB is such an antiquated standard at this point. I would have really liked to have seen this include a USB-C charging port on the headset instead of Micro USB. Also, instead of only having the option to plug in a USB bluetooth dongle when using this with your computer, I would have loved to have seen the USB bluetooth functionality built right into the charging stand. Since you already have to plug in the charging stand via a USB cable to your computer anyway, it would be nice not having to plug in an additional USB dongle if the headset will primarly be used in a stationary fashion (but still include the USB dongle just in case you want to take the headset on the go and don't want to carry the charging stand with you). Other than these minor gripes, I don't have much else to complain about. Overall, this has been a very premium productivity headset experience that has resulted in zero call quality issues so far. I also can't stress enough how comfortable this headset is. If you're a heavy productivity worker that is constantly in meetings, you will love this headset!

I like testing headsets. I have quite a few that I use for various things. I have my earbuds, my airplane noise cancelling, my fitness buds, and my gaming headset, which I’ve been using for a work headset.
This hasn’t worked because no one wants to show off a blinged out RGB headset in a work meeting no matter whether you can turn them off. Besides, they’re huge and I was looking for something wireless.
I’ve tried a few work headsets in the $150 range and they’ve all been fairly disappointing. Honestly, my other headsets are over $300, so I thought trying out these Poly/Plantronics/HP Voyager Focus 2 UC headphones would be a good fit.
I have to say, I love them, except for two things that really tick me off (I’ll mention them at the end).
Noise cancellation… meaning getting rid of the noise on the microphone side so your client or team can’t hear your screaming kid in the same room… that’s pretty darn good on this headset. I was surprised that on my test call with my wife she couldn’t hear our son screaming bloody murder for his next snack. I feel very confident with them in a meeting and now will use them while watching our kid and on a biz meeting at the same time. Go Poly!
These are fairly easy to set up, just like a Bluetooth headset with BT5.1 because they ARE a BT5.1 headset. The stand is fairly slick and allows for charging whenever the headset is sitting in it. It’s a pretty slick device because it sticks the charging pads into a receptacle on the right headphone that’s normally hidden during wear. Pretty slick, and a great idea, because that is also how it stands on the the charging stand. The other end of the charging stand is USB A and no charger is included.
It also includes a BT USB A transmitter that works as plug-n-play on any modern windows or Mac system. In order to be in Teams certified mode, you need to use the included dongle.
Sound quality is excellent for speech and web meetings. I was really surprised at the quality considering the price. I tried music as well, but I honestly prefer my airplane headset as those completely cover the ear.
And that’s the first thing that ticks me off about this set of headphones. When I’m wearing glasses, they really pressed the stems of them into my head and that’s pretty ouch. I don’t have that problem with any of the other headsets I have, including the ones that are totally over ear. These are on ear and so press against your ears. Some people like that because it doesn’t at all obscure your face. YMMV.
The major thing that ticks me off about this headset is the connection that is on the headset. It’s MICRO B! Come on. This is 2022 and to release a set of headphones with USB MICRO B is kind of dumb. This will keep me from taking them on a plane because I honestly don’t carry any MicroB cables anymore. I, along with the rest of the tech forward world, have moved on to USB C charging everything. Poly is nice enough to include a travel bag with these headphones but I can’t imaging taking them with me primarily because of this. It might seem chintzy to you, but I just can’t go back to that. I’ve had too many broken USB MICRO B devices at the port or cable over the years and yeah… it’s too fragile for my taste. I just don’t understand why they would ruin such a great set of headphones by bolting on 8 years ago’s technology to it in such an important place. They claim USB C compatibility, but the included A to C adapter DOES NOT CUT IT.
Overall, this is a solid set of headphones that could work well for a road warrior too if you don’t have the anti-USB Micro B sentiment that I do. Unfortunately, it’s a deal breaker for me.

Poly’s Plantronics Voyager Focus 2 UC
- 3 levels of noise cancelling.
Each level allowed me to adjust the noise around during the call. Although it did surprise me how it isolated some of noise and voices that were during the call, for instance I noticed if there is music sound this is still can be heard.
- Better microphone that isolates surrounding noise allowing the other side listen clear via Polys feature name Acoustic Fence technology.
From the usage, while having music and other noise surrounding me, I did’t have to turn off the music or look for a physical spot to get away from surrounding sound, and still have natural conversation in which the other side would ask can you repeat or I can’t hear you well.
As per the brand, it includes four microphones that act in different way to control the noise and the voice, and this seemed to work well in the short time of usage.
- Connectivity:
It can be used via USB Adapter while using with desktop/notebook or via bluetooth with mobile phone or either mode. The version of bluetooth is 5.1, and the USB adapter comes with USB-A connector. For USB-C port, the package includes its adapter.
While using with USB Adapter connected to a MacBook Pro during zoom call, at least during two hours continues of the meeting, the call didn’t drop or experienced downs and up that some time happen.
The using it with mobile phone, I was able to maintain natural conversation. The voice I hear during the call was quite remarkable I would say, and the other side didn’t seem to notice the use of headset.
Now, while on the call, moving away from the notebook that is connected via USB adaptor, it worked fine except when I started to move around some walls in between and could notice connecting issue. Whereas using it connected to iPhone 14 Pro, I walked away about 10 feet and I still could have consistent connection without loosing the conversation.
Then during the long call, I had to adjust how it fit on ear as it was causing uncomfortable pressure.
What I wish it does better:
1. Connect to 3 devices;
2. Able to switch the call between devices from Poly Lens while I am using in either mobile or notebook. As is, it can be done from the headset or pickup/end call from respective devices only. But while on the meeting in either notebook or mobile devices, would be better efficient to switch from the screen rather than trying to do via headset as trying to find the right button.
3. Reduce number of application for the headset. It takes two applications, Poly Lens and Hub. They are not requirement to use the headset, but without it loose the control of different benefit of the headset.
4. The USB Adapter could have included USB-C version instead of the adaptor for the USB-A connector.
5. The cable for the Charging base would better if it is detachable or plug/unplug from the base to facilitate mobility. For the same purpose, would be nice the base would be foldable.
6. The leatherete ear cushion doesn’t look solid and durable. Upon few usage, already looked wore out.
In summary, Voyager Focus 2 does best for clear conversation during long call and well integrated with soft phone like Zoom and mobile devices.
And the package include: Voyager Focus 2 UC with Charge Stand, Carry Case, USB adapter, charging cable and charging base.

Fantastic Wireless Headset, a True "Voyager"

As someone who isn't a headset person, persay, I may just be converted with this Voyager Focus 2 headset. I spend much of my day in and out of meetings. I work remotely, so that's to be expected this day in age. What wasn't expected was how terrible my provided work laptop's mic was in comparison, of which it is a high end model. I tested this first by doing calls with myself, and then on several full days of work. I got several comments from regular meeting goers familiar with me, of how much clearer and concise I sounded with the Poly headset.
What I really love about it is the convenience of being able to have it docked on the charger when not in use, and then just pick up and go as needed. It has great noise cancellation, which is fantastic for my home work environment, or even when I go into the office. Mainly at home is due to mybcholdren, or because my office is in the basement, which of course is where the furnace is, so everyone used to pick up when it kicked on, but now no so much. It's also VERY freeing to be able to go upstairs or wander around the home as needed during calls, something that was much more cumbersome before by having to transfer the call to my phone or carry my laptop with me. With this Poly Voyager headset, I'm free to traverse the house as needed. They state "*up to 91m(300ft) roaming range", but that must be in a completely open environment, with me going upstairs and trying to make it outside, about 25m(82ft) directly from the base, but through several walls, I notice some jumpiness in the latency. I have yet to even have an issue with battery life, probably because I'm usually only wearing it for a couple hours at a time, but still fantastic to know it's rated at 25hrs of talk time!
It also comes with cords to be able to hardwire it, if desired or needed. Which is where I find some annoyance, because they still chose to use micro USB, vs the prevalent standard of USB-C. The latter of which all Android phones have converted to for several years, and iPhones will transition to in 2023. Meaning I have a ton of USB-C chargers, and almost no Micros anymore. So I hate having to have what is almost a proprietary cable at this point, likely so they could save a couple bucks. Though, I should almost never have to hardwire due to the excellent battery life, and also because it comes with a nice little carry case that I can just keep it stuffed in when bringing it between work and home. Which I should also note it comes with a USB-A Bluetooth adapter, so you can leave the dock connected at your main location, and when going mobile, just bring the headset and adapter. Very thoughtful addition to maintain wireless functionality while travelling!
Overall, from fit and comfort to function, this headset truly is very good. With the hybrid acoustic fencing/ANC, and advanced mic features telling me if I'm talking while muted(like we all do), it's a great investment and companion for remote, mobile, or in office usage.

Almost Perfect - Great Value for Wireless Headset

There's a lot to like with this headset - especially for the price. Worth noting that a more well-known brand name set with the same features would cost perhaps twice as much. I bought this looking for something to replace a wired USB headset that I used for work calls on my laptop. The cushion part was literally falling apart.
First off, it's super comfortable. Sometimes after my calls are done I forget I have even have it on for a bit. I was looking for one that sits on a single ear (not stereo - both ears) since I hate feeling like the outside world is muffled when I'm on a call.
Second, the noise cancelling works great. Big improvement over my old USB set where I'd have to get the boom microphone just right to avoid having it picking up my breathing. Folks on the other side of my calls say I'm coming in loud and clear. They sound great as well.
Battery life has been great - no issues after 3+ hour calls. I do make a point of putting the set back on the charging base after I'm done, so that helps.
Although that does bring me to my one criticism. When resting the headset on the charger base, you absolutely have to be careful to make sure it is seated correctly - the LED light on the base will turn red and you'll hear / feel a little click which is the contact / spring popping in place. Lost count of the number of times I didn't initially have it seated correctly.
Another minor gripe. If it's not getting power from the charger or actively in use, it occasionally disconnects from the blue tooth.
Outside that, I highly recommend it. Hope the review helps!

Unbelievable Audio Quality & Microphone

I was incredibly impressed by the audio quality of the Plantronics Focus 2 UC Stereo Headset. These are the best quality headphones I own with respect to both music and voice calls. I admittedly enjoyed listening to music less in recent months, but this headset delivers music in a quality that makes it a joy to listen to. They may not fit in my pocket to carry with me, but when I go out for walks or even when I visit the local gym for cardio exercise, I will carry these first. The Automatic Noise Cancelling features add to the perceived quality of both voice and music.
When I made a phone call to a person with whom I often test phone calls, they responded with a "wow" concerning how clear I sounded in the call and to my listening to the call that also sounded clearer than with the earbuds I was using before this.
The headphones are a comfortable fit in my case, and once I put them on, I didn't notice any discomfort. Unlike earbuds, I won't have to worry about if they're about to pop out of my ear.
The headphones charge on a stand, which plugs into a USB port. On my desk, my computer had a spare always-powered-on USB port, so this was convenient to have on my desk. Bluetooth pairing mode was enabled easily by sliding the power switch a little beyond the on position.
Pros:
-Insanely good sound quality for Music
-Unbelievably good sound quality for Voice calls both on the Microphone and Headset
-Noise Cancelling that works well and leads to high quality voice calls as well
-Easy volume control on the side of the earpiece
-Comfortable
-Easy Bluetooth Pairing (from Android, and even my Windows PC auto sensed it in pairing mode)
Cons:
-None noticed

This Plantronics Focus 2 Unified Communications stereo headset is a great headset that has superior sound. The user and the people on the other end of the conversation can all hear you exceptionally well, with little to no background noise at all. This headset, which comes with everything you need to start using it immediately after charging it the first time, is super simple to set up. I had it attached to my laptop in no time flat, and the same goes for my smartphone. The Bluetooth connection to my smartphone was seamless. The connection to my computer was as well. The application that you go to on your computer, allows you to setup the headset to your exact specifications. Part of the shows you your user statistics. One of the greatest features about this headset is the charging system and stand that comes with it. The headset slides into a slot, and begins charging immediately. The charging base is pretty cool looking, as well as highly functional. It has a small footprint top, so it doesn’t take up a lot of room. The controls on the headset are easy to use, and come with a small card with all the functionality listed. The microphone has an on and off button, right in the microphone. This is a very high quality headset with exceptionally high quality sound and performance.

I work from a home office and spend 75% of my work day using this headset for meetings, training, or streaming content. Based on a week of use, I can strongly recommend the Poly Voyager Focus 2. This headset is built for the office, with numerous user features, long range connectivity, and quality sound in a ultra light 0.38 lb package.
In the box is the headset, charging stand with USB-A cable, USB-A to USB-C adaptor, carry case, and computer USB dongle. Setup on Windows is a very simple plug and play. I first plugged the charging stand into an auxiliary USB port, and the dongle into either a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port depending on which workstation I need to use. The dongle has color indicators, red for mute and blue for connected. There is an accompanying app, the Poly Lens, that can be installed, however not required for basic use. Once the dongle was inserted, the headset paired up immediately and was ready for use.
If you chose to install the app, it adds in additional flexibility, or corporate custom settings, if applicable. The app allows for network diagnostics (upload / download speeds and latency check), which is needed to troubleshoot at call centers or other customer facing applications. Other features are to set up auto launch preferences, turn on notification popups, and a health and wellness which will pop up reminders to drink water or take a break from staring at the monitor. Through the app you can also check for updates, see battery status, software version, and if the headset is connected. Overall useful features, but not required to use the headset to its full potential.
As far as performance goes, the range far surpasses any other headset I have owned or tried in the past five years! My office is on the second floor, I can go downstairs and out into the garage, walk around the entire first floor, and then go down into the basement and never lose connectivity. That equates into roughly 130' from the dongle, through multiple walls, floor, and doors. The sound quality is fantastic, I can hear presenters clearly, and quickly change the volume with on ear controls for those who talk quietly or are far away from their mic. On my end, there are 3 levels of noise cancelling (ANC) off, setting 1, and setting 2. I can tell a difference at each level. Off is fine for when I'm the only one in my home office, level 1 is great for removing noises when the teens are banging around downstairs, and level 2 is what I use when my husband is on a conference call 30' away in his office. My audience can hear me clearly with no barking dogs or family noise bleeding through.
Moving on to the design, I love that the microphone swivels 270 degrees for wear on either the left or right side. The mic boom can swivel up to mute or there is a red button on the mic that can be pressed to mute. On the ear piece that has the mic boom, there are physical volume up / down buttons, and a 1, 2, 3 tap center button for play/pause, forward, and reverse. Additional functions on the earpiece are power on / Bluetooth connect slider, charging port, and ANC selector (off, 1, 2). The headset is well made, with fabric earpieces that rest on the ear comfortably for all day wear. There are 10 levels of size adjustment on each ear piece, and the top band is padded with an elastic band that provides a comfortable fit that stays in place. I find that the ear cuffs and headband have the perfect amount of tension to stay in place but do not hurt my ears or top of head after wearing them for six hours straight. Other unique features are that if I am not wearing the headset I can answer a call simply by picking the headset up and putting it on. The headset will also pause music when I take off.
Additional important features to note are: the headset paired quickly to my Android phone (via bluetooth) and performs as expected enabling me to swap between my computer and phone seamlessly. You can charge via USB cable while using. The headset works as a softphone for multiple platforms, I have tested with Slack, Amazon Chime, and Microsoft Teams, and functionality is perfect across various software platforms. The battery life is amazing, I'm still on my first charge with a full week of use.
Bottom line, for a heavy user of videoconferencing applications, this is a stellar headset for ease of use, functionality, sound quality, battery life, connectivity range, and most importantly all day comfort. I highly recommend for many applications, but especially those that are on calls a majority of the day.

***TLDR:*** Quality headphones with features that work as described, though you may not find them comfortable nor the canceling strong enough.
***QUALITY:*** The build materials are solid, with a spring steel top, pleather ear pieces, and black plastic everywhere else. At this price, however, you might expect plastic (or other material) which seems more durable than that used on the ear pieces.
***FEATURES:*** The microphone works very well to isolate background sounds, has a mute button, and auto mutes when flipped up. It also auto mutes when you remove the headphones during an active call, which can be auto answered by picking the headphones up. If you are prone to fumbling things around, this may be an issue, as they auto answered once when I merely moved them.
***SOUND QUALITY:*** Music of all kinds sounded balanced, with noise canceling seemingly amplifying bass, which sounded just right in tone and volume to me. High frequencies seemed accurate. No Bluetooth induced signal noise was detected.
***COMFORT:*** These are small headphones. They fit my two year old son at their smallest setting, though they extend for big heads like mine. They sit on your ears rather than over them. As such, you may find them less comfortable than bigger ones after a long stint. They also have a thin head support, so they won't be as firmly planted as some thicker units. I didn't find them unreasonably prone to movement from head shaking, however. You may not even care, as the size means a cooler head, and the sound is quite good.
***NOISE CANCELING:*** The fact that the ear pieces don't cover your ears means they cannot passively block much sound, though the active noise canceling works fairly well. There are two levels which don't seem to differ much. Both reduce high frequencies a bit (maybe 15% lower volume). Not-covering your ears means the noise canceling isn't amazing, though the 2nd setting does a good job quieting computer fans right down. Voices are barely quieted, however.
***CONCLUSION:*** Definitely better signal and sound quality than I have experienced with more affordable headphones, though the ear piece shape lets them down a bit in comfort and quiet.

First off, the sound quality, comfort and features on these headphones are amazing! These are simply the best and most comfortable headphones I have ever had. I have had these for 5 days now and have used them for 4-6 hours per day. I got these to replace an old pair of wired headphones that were falling apart and some new wireless headphones I got recently that weren't performing well.
These headphones have that "full" sound that my 7-year old "name brand" wired headphones do and that I have been looking for. I am a 62 year old male with tinnitus and significant hearing loss in one ear. I primarily use headphones when I work-from-home or travel to watch movies, listen to music/podcasts, or on webinars and conference/video calls. I was able to connect these to my cell phone (Samsung S22), tablet (Samsung S3), Laptop (MS Surface 5) and Desktop (Dell XPS 8940) without any problems at all. With your computer, the company supplies a USB-A dongle (plus 2 USB-A to USB-C adapters) that provides the Bluetooth connection to the headphones. The instructions say it's better to use the dongle than connect directly via your computers Bluetooth. But with your Android devices, you have to use your devices Bluetooth. I was able to connect the headphones to my cell phone and PC at the same time, so I could listen to music while I work and wait for a phone call.
These headphones are very light and comfortable. The construction seems to be very good of quality materials. They don't press on my ears like even my older, name brand ones did. So these are considerably more comfortable to wear for a longer period of time. They have the usual controls; answer/end call, volume up/down, advance/repeat music. Also, to pause your music, you can just remove the headphones and it automatically pauses. (However, I did notice a couple times when I was listening to music and I placed them down on my table, they didn't pause.) Also, when you are on a call, you can move the mic back up and it will mute the mic. So, if you need to "take a break" while on a phone call or webinar, no one can hear what you're doing, but you can still listen. (What a relief!)
The controls are easy to use, but the play/pause, advance or repeat controls used the same button. To use those functions you; press once (play/pause), press twice (advance), press three times (repeat). Sometimes I found it difficult to advance or repeat because it wouldn't register a button push. The sound from the Mic is very good and I never had anyone complain they couldn't hear or understand me when I was talking on a phone call or on a webinar. They also have active noise cancelling with two levels, as well as off.
I really like that I can listen to music with these while I work and it automatically pauses the music when I answer a call. The headphone charge lasts a very long time, so they are truly "all day plus" and they recharge quickly. The PC App provides access to all the setup, settings, training, and firmware updates. The website says a Android App will be coming later.
Overall, I really like these headphones and they have become my new go-to headphones for every purpose. One thing I wish they provided is a way to customize the hearing levels between left and right ears and an equalizer to adjust the sound frequencies, because of my hearing difficulties. But, as is, I have no problem recommending these to anyone and would certainly buy them again.

These headphones look and feel like a quality product. The battery life is amazing, I charged them when I got them, used then for four days so far and they’re still showing 50% remaining. I like that I can charge them with the included stand or connect them with a usb cable so they’re always available. The on-ear cushions are very soft and comfortable. My youngest son is sensitive to material textures, he borrowed them for a few hours to use with his gaming system when my wife had to work at home, he rates the material feel as “great”. I have another set by a different brand that has mesh fabric on the ear cushions, he says those are too scratchy and uncomfortable.
The headset is lightweight and I find it comfortable for all day use, I have a large noggin and I don’t feel like they’re too tight. I like that the adjusters for length on each side are marked so I can easily adjust it back where I need it after someone borrows them. It’s neat that you can have the microphone on the left or the right and the sound in the ear pieces flips accordingly just by flipping the microphone where you want it.
These headphones are so versatile! I’m able to pair them to my iphone, laptop, and PC directly with Bluetooth, the instructions recommend using the included dongle to connect to a computer for calls though. I was also able to use the dongle on our Playstation ( they’re not gaming headphones but I wanted to see if they would work, they do and the mic is quite clear when I tried them in an online session. ) I used them to watch a movie on my laptop, they include a case so I plan to pack these on vacation. I’m hoping they will drown out engine noise on flights with the noise cancellation feature. Speaking of noise cancellation, these do a nice job of blocking noise in the room while I’m working so I can hear clearly. I asked a couple customers that I know well for their opinion on how the mic sounds to them, responses were all positive, no one experienced any clipping to my speech.

I found the Voyager Focus 2 by Plantronics quite a great fit for my gaming and work purposes. Number one and the most important characteristic I am looking for is Comfort. These headphones deliver it! I was very surprised by the comfort level and how long I could use them, therefore I mentioned earlier I use them now for gaming. Another important feature for me is its design and it looks like Plantronics did not disappoint me here as well. The Voyager Focus 2 look industrial and futuristic in a way, so I will have no problem of using these outside of my home, in a coffee shop and not look like I just came out of some work cubicle. Number three feature I did not expect was its Hybrid Active Noise Canceling - works great and as intended. If I need to cancel any outside noise, this feature comes in handy and works flawlessly. Talk time and talk quality also matters to me a lot and with its advanced multiple microphone and Plantronic's proprietry Acoustic Fence Technology, my conversations are crisp and clear. Love it. I mentioned the talk time, it is also one of the best - Iwas able to clock in 20 hrs of always on operation (with ANC on as well at times), and the manufactorer promises up to 25 hours with ANC off. These are some amazing wireless headphones with the latest Bluetooth 5.1 paired with my Galaxy Fold - I am in business. I like the charging stand it comes with as well as a carrying case, very necessary accessories! I am looking forward to using these headphones on a daily basis and also watch Plantronics now as they continue to develop new headphones.

The Best Hands Free Headset

I’ve used a lot of different headsets over the years and without a doubt I can say that the Plantronics Focus 2 Unified Communications stereo headset is one of the best headsets I’ve used to date. First off, setting up is super easy, I just plugged the USB dongle into my laptop, turned on the headset and it immediately paired with my laptop. This is probably a first for me with any product where I didn't have to download some sort of software in order to connect and pair it. I didn't even have to go into Windows settings and go to the bluetooth connection page to confirm the pairing.
That being said I didn't initially look at the manual and was holding down the middle button on the ear cup trying to pair it to my phone’s bluetooth thinking that was how to pair it but actually holding up on the power switch will put it in pairing mode to be discovered by your phone. Once paired (at least on iphone) it will ask if you want to download the Plantronics Hub app, which is not necessary to use, but it allows you to tweak some settings and update it if there's any firmware update needed. When using it connected to your phone it works a lot like your standard bluetooth headphones, where if you're listening to music and you press the middle button it will allow you to pause music, double tap it to change songs. This is a great feature and I was kinda shocked that it worked like my normal bluetooth headphones, since this is marketed as a business work product. Was also shocked to find out that this does work with my Playstation 5 in that I just plugged the USB dongle into the PS5 and it automatically connected to it and pushed the sound from the tv to the headset, so a nice little bonus that it's compatible with the Playstation 5. That being said this headset is more so for calls and not for gaming and didn't sound the greatest when playing games but still usable. My only negative about this headset is that it has a noise canceling switch but because it's an open ear headphone you don't really notice the canceling feature at all compared to an in-ear headphone or close ear headphone. I tested this with my desk fan at a decent speed and turned it on and could still hear the fan, whereas with my
in-ear headphones with noise canceling on, I couldn't hear it. Not the biggest deal breaker but something to know. That being said this is easily the best all around business headset you can get for productivity whether it be for Zoom or Teams meeting or just taking a call on your cell phone, you can’t go wrong with the Plantronics Focus 2 Unified Communications stereo headset.

High quality headset

I have used Plantronics headsets in the past and they have been great and of high quality. This one is no different. Firstly, it is very comfortable on my head. The headband design is not too tight on top of my head. The ear pads do not cover your entire ear which I like. My ears do not get hot. The sound from the headphones is clean and clear. The microphone seems to work well.
I am using it on macOS Ventura 13.0.1. I had a meeting on Microsoft Teams for a little over an hour. It didn't feel like I was wearing an over the head headset. It's light and comfy. There are three levels of active noise cancellation (0, 1, 2) found on the right earpad. The software is available for both macOS and Windows. Website states that mobile app is coming soon. It's not necessary to use with mobile devices unless you want to gain access to other options not found on the headset itself.
It comes with a USB-A receiver. You don't need the software to use the headset. When you turn it on, it will scan to see if it has been paired via bluetooth. After a few seconds, if it doesn't find a device, it will connect to the USB receiver. The software is to set additional options that are not found on the headset itself. This is how you can also update the firmware.
The headset is rechargeable and comes with a charging stand. It's a nice design that serves as both charger and stand. There is a non-removable USB-A cable connected to the charger. If you lose your charger or want another charger, you can use a micro USB cable to charge it. This port is found under the earpad next to the microphone. Nice touch! There is volume control (+ - ) buttons on the side of the earpad. A mute button underneath the microphone (red button).
It comes with a nice soft case. There is a zippered pocket inside as well. This is where I found the micro USB cable as well as a USB-A to USB-C cable. Another nice touch.

A Headset for Work

After opening the box and pulling out the headset, I noticed the quality. The headset doesn't feel cheap. The headset feels nice in the hands. Not to light and not so heavy like monster gaming headsets. Plenty of adjustment for different sizes for your head. I wear a 7-3/4 hat and there was plenty of adjustment. The ear padding was comfortable for a 2 hour Zoom meeting. From time to time I forgot they were even on my head. The ear cups can swivel so you can rest the headphones on around your neck for a quick break between calls.
Everyone in the Zoom meeting said my voice was fine. No distortion or breaking up of the sort. I was even using the headset to listen to some entertainment. Which these aren't meant for that but it can be done. Not the best for that purpose but it will get the job done. The headset is perfect for anyone on calls or on the phone all day.
Here is what I really enjoyed about the headset. The simple and easy controls on the ear portion. Volume adjustment, pause/play, and next track have a nice click to them so you know when that function gets automated. The quick and easy ability to mute your microphone is another benefit. There are two ways to do this. You have a red button on the mic itself you can press. You can also just turn the microphone up and it will mute. You will hear a voice that says "Mute on/off." So you will know this is on or not, no more confusion. The Active Noise Cancelations has two settings. You can notice a difference on the second setting. I had a electrical heater underneath me and I could not even hear it on the max ANC setting. So if you are in a noisy enviornment this will help.
My negatives about the headset is it's not USB-C chargeable. It's almost 2023 and Technology not having the usb-c port to charge is just sad. USB-micro B charging is going extinct so it needs to be gotten rid of. It fails a lot in longevity from my use. The second way to charge the headset is with the stand that comes with it. It's heavy and takes up desk space. I like the option of having multiple ways to charge. Yet, I have to use another USB port for the stand. Even though I despise the USB-mico b charging I can still charge other (older) things with the cable. These are minor gripes but nothing is perfect. This will serve the function for anyone in need of a decent headset.

I am very happy with this product. Have been using in day in day out in my back to back office calls and never had any issues.
The ANC in mic is excellent and filters all external sounds making your voice heard clearly at the other end.
The shift from laptop to mobile is very smooth and no compatibility issues observed in using it with Teams desktop and mobile app.
Highly recommend.
