If you're open to other cultures, you'll love this film. Excellent story, interesting characters, and very well laid out plot. Humor and drama, what else do you expect from studio ghibli? Top notch. Probably too long for kiddies tho. :)

Kids liked it because it was cool seeing how the characters were creative in trying to prevent destruction of their habitats. A bit of a longer movie, but with some definite lessons about life, interaction, use and abuse of power.

Especially if you would like an insiders view of what life "could" be like as a member of a raccoon society. Basically, it's a comment on what humanity is doing to the planet with urban sprawl, pollution, etc...told from the point of view of a woodland critter.

Is this movie another Studio Ghibli masterpiece? I don't think so. The animation didn't blow me away, but it's still good. The story is what will most likely grab you. There are some odd moments, *AHEM*pouches*AHEM*, but overall, it's an enjoyable experience!

This is another great masterpiece for Studio Ghibli. If you like Ghibli movies you owe it to yourself to add this little gem to your collection.

This movie is a little slow at the beginning, but push through because it is hilarious. I personally would not make it for children as male gentalia is a large part of this movie. I would rate it PG13 due to that instead of PG.

Movie is fun and entertaining film. Warning though on the nudity of the animals. Its brief and not focused but want to put that out their due to the little ones.

What can I say besides it’s a great film and it’s on a Blu-ray disco haha. Disc ran fine. It was new not used so I had no issues.

This movie is very strange, but I love it! Pom Poko is quite possibly the strangest Studio Ghibli film but still carries the Studio's Charm and rich story telling. Definitely a must see for any Ghibli Fan. Summing up in two words: "Racoon Pouch"

I'm a sucker for Studio Ghibli films but this one is one of the better of the "lesser" titles. It's quite entertaining, always get a laugh watching it. Must own for any Studio Ghibli fan.

Pom Poko is a comedic documentary based on the popular Japanese superstitions of raccoon and foxes having the abilities to achieve new forms. The endless ideas of what the raccoon characters can do with their abilities are wonderful to explore, and the introduction in the movie is a great way to teach people of fun Japanese lore. On the downside, I found this movie to drag on about half-way through. The far-to-numerous failures of the main family of raccoon began to become exhausting. Still, it's a fun movie, if anything, for children to watch; however, some parents may not be so appreciative of the "raccoon pouches".

Hidden gem of a movie. It warms my heart to share the studio Ghibli films with my family.

Great movie! My family has already watched this about 5 times since we bought it a few weeks ago. It is about an important/worldly theme, but presents it is a family friendly, and funny way.

As always Disney does a great job with distributing these Studio Ghibli titles and this one is no exception. Superb video and audio on Blu-Ray, you won't be disappointed if you're a fan.

This was such a great film!i loved the graphics, the characters were all developed and the message of the film was very appropriate for our time. Highly recommended.

One of Studio Ghibli's early animations from 1994 that still has that mystical feel. Yes this takes place in a "modern society", but it carries the magical feeling all the same without being to fantastical.

We love the visual and narrative creativity of Studio Ghibli movies which are superior to Disney or Pixar.

Another great film from Studio Ghibli. Do they ever make a bad one?? Good animation coupled with good story makes this film a must see for the whole family.

The story is great, a small taste of what nature would do to get their home back! The animation is just as great as one would expect from studio Ghibli.

When I first watched this movie after buying it,it was very enjoyable,and it had the voice of Jonathan Taylor Thomas,(famous for Home Improvement).
