I think if you enjoy history, and like to watch talented actors perform on your big screen at home, this movie is quite enjoyable. It is a sad tale of course, but the story was well reenacted, the quality of the picture is good, the sound FX are awesome, and the graphics are okay but it's hard to keep up with the technology and clear pictures of today's TV's. All in all, a really good movie that was well written about one of history's tragedies.

This is a good movie with a lot of history behind it, especially if you want some of the special features on the Blu-ray. It reminded me a lot of the movie Gladiator. I enjoyed the movie, it had an interesting plot.

We all know our history about Pompeii so there was no big surprise at the end. aside from the ending the story was well written and had some good acting. the 3D visual aspect was awesome! But then again i love 3D

When the movie was released in theatres, my dad and I went and saw it (both being HUGE Game of Thrones fans and seeing it just because Kit Harington is in it) and we both had ridiculously low expectations due to many reviews of the movie we read before we went in. Both of us were pleasantly surprised at what a good movie it was. It kept our attention the whole time and was definitely well-worth the money. I'm glad it's finally out so I can add it to my collection.

Great acting, casting, production, directing, filming. Really enjoyed this movie for recreating another diasterous part of this planets history

I purchased this movie because it was in 3D and I love 3D. The movie is fair in itself but the 3D is very good while not as good as say Transformer or Avatar. It was worth the cheap price I paid.

I recently brought this 3D Blu Ray Movie & I have no regards at all... The value was incredible in addition too the clarity and graphics of this 3D Blu Ray Dvd... The only other thing that can "top this" value is BestBuy's "Upgrade & Save" if/whenever they bring it back... I am totally pleased and satisfied with my purchase whereas I'm going to tell a lot of mine family, friends & business associates about it too...

The best thing about the movie are the 3D effects. The film itself is somewhat exciting but not the best acted or written movie. However it is entertaining and the 3D makes it worthwhile.

Fun images 3D was above average but not mind blowing....I was expecting to see flying dust in my viewing room but not so much...But then again...I got it on the cheap! Thanks Best Buy for putting it on sale!

Great story with great actors who bring the story to life. Kit from game of thrones was great for his first theatrical debut. The 3d was amazing and made u feel that u were there. Overall pretty good movie!

I originally thought this item was the ordinary Blu-ray - DVD combo. It is actually 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray two piece. From the director of Resident Evil - The Final Chapter.

I wish I had purchased the 3D version - it would have been awsome. Great special effects and a good plot made for an entertaining movie.

Having sprung for a 3D TV, I buy just about every 3D movie available. The 3D here is good, but not as spectacular as the subject would warrant. Got a lot of embers floating around the screen, when what I wanted was to duck fireballs coming at my nose. The plot was "Titanic" but with no survivors. The depiction of the iconic indistinct forms of Pompeii's dead was implied to be the direct result of the catastrophe. In fact they are plaster casts taken by the 19th century excavators, who poured plaster into holes discovered in the hardened ash.

I did not expect the end of the movie, but I liked. Is a good movie to watch for a family movie night but not for the theater. I would like to see more about history than the love history

Spent many a saturday afternoon watching B movies like this one. Check your brain at the door and enjoy the ride. Keifer Sutherland has a very lispy funny accent!

Great movie historical movie looks amazing and brings the Ancient Rome sorroundings to life very well. As well as the famous Pompeii disaster

The 3-D feature on this movie was the best I've seen really enjoyed the 3-D footage. Kiefer Sutherland's role had him as a villain which I wish was not true.

The 3D makes the movie experience much better! I confidently recommend this if you don't take the film super seriously and have a great (3D) home theater.

While it wasn't the best acting, it wasn't too bad. I loved the destruction of Pompeii because you could somewhat imagine the real event, which is such a profound event.

I bought the movie because the main character plays Jon Snow in Game of thrones. For you ladies: ready for a treat... He is everything you expect from Jon snow.
