I'm so glad to find that Best Buy is releasing anime movies as steelbooks. I remember watching and enjoying Ponyo as a kid, but I forgot a lot about what the movie is about. That is why when I saw this movie being released as a steelbook, I knew I had to get it. Beautiful steelbook btw!

Miyazaki is creator of many wonderful films, each with gorgeous animation and art, and a meaningful story. This is no exception. My 9-year-old daughter and I both enjoyed this immensely. Highly recommended over the shallow children's animated films Hollywood is churning out these days.

love this Studio Ghibli anime. so fun and exciting to watch. I watched the special features and they say this was made for ages up to 10 years old but hey I'm a lot older and I really enjoyed it and felt it was very entertaining for adults. don't let people tell you what age you have to be to view a movie let the little kid in you out once in awhile.

I bought the Disney releases for the other Miayzaki films, this is only one i was missing. I much prefer this release over the disney releases, as it was 7 bucks cheaper and quality was atually better - content mostly the same but the Disney cases were often cracked broken and often no slip cover. This product is better!

Studio Ghibli fans will understand the charm of this film but I recommend this film to everyone! It's a timeless story and the look of the film is gorgeous. This animation style is breath-taking. The steel case is great for any collection!

My daughter wanted this movie she asked me for it , I knew I could count on bestbuy to have it. I went to Best Buy looked in the DVDs found it. Bought it. Went home . Gave it to my daughter. My daughter was happy for a whole 1 hour and 41 minutes .

I'm a 23 year old man and I still enjoy kid movies like this from time to time. Hayao Miyazaki is revered for his movies and this does not fall short. It's a total feel good movie. I personally do not have kids, but if I did, this would be a movie they could grow up with and learn to love at the age of 23 just like me.

I was able to get my spouse into Miyazaki films when Howl's Moving Castle came out, but this is by far her favorite. A little more suited to the younger audience than Spirited away (my favorite) or Howl's. This was also the movie that got my oldest son hooked on Miyazakl. No collection would be complete without this gem.

The movie is fantastic, the box design is a little uninspired and easy to scratch, but it fits well with the rest of the collection. Ponyo specifically has the most potential for cool box art, so it's a bit disappointing.

For those that enjoy Studio Ghibli, this is another great addition. It is outside the normal "for kids" Anime, but is geared in that way, fitting in with "The Cat Returns" and "Totoro" (as opposed the more serious "Howl's Moving Castle" or "Princess Mononoke"). Definitely worth purchasing!

Once or my favorite studio ghibli films so it’s great to see it as part of their steelbook collection. Always can put this on and feel better if life feels down

One of my fave anime movies and alter version of the little mermaid. Cute storyline. Very odd and cool movie. You wouldn't of known some Hollywood stars voiced the characters until you see the credits. I noticed more details in this movie now that I own it. Great family movie!

If you are not familiar with studio Ghibli. they are a animation studio out of Japan that produces some of the best animated films in recent times. Me and kids love the whole catalog. the only down side is Disney owns the right to US distributorship which means the Blu Rays are pricey.

My oldest daughter has multiple disabilities and is an anime fanactic. She is intellectually disabled and i often thank god for anime because i think she gets lost in the movies and the fantasy becomes somewhat her reality for a brief moment and she is happy.. i am all smiles..

Great release - would be made better by the inclusion of a digital copy, but otherwise, this series of Steelbooks is the most beautiful incarnation yet! Will be purchasing all these Steelbook Ghibli titles.

Purchased for my husband and daughters for Christmas and they enjoyed watching it. They all really like anime type movies and this was one they have previously watched, but we had never purchased until now.

This is a great anime. If you like Studio Ghibli films, give this one a go. My kids love it. The animation drawing quality isn't like Spirited Away but it's still truly a well detail piece by Hayo Miyazaki.

Ponyo is a lovable movie that was dubbed well and the subtitle is even better. HD remaster perfectly and the sound quality is great. An adaption to the Little Mermaid, this film gives a lesson to kids to appreciate people regardless of appearance or who they are.

My gf loves this movie and we bought it and her nephews literally stopped in their tracks and started watching it. They were so fascinated by her. Highly recommend this movie. Great price of 9.99 too.

Honestly, Disney is amazing. Beautiful, heart-warming stories for families to love. The story is classic and will definitely give you something to smile about. The original story isn't theirs, however, they really bring it to life as only Disney can. You'll love this.
