Square Hammer and Nocturnal Me are great. The cover of Missionary Man is okay but by the book. The other two songs are throw away tracks.

I feel ghost is getting worse. The new singer is not very good. They should bring back the original singer from the first album.

Square Hammer is the only original song on the EP and it's amazing. The rest are covers but very interesting choices and performances. If your're looking for an EP of five typical Ghost songs you might be disappointed but if you have an open mind you might have it blown. Got a good laugh about the 1 star reviewer who thinks they should go back to the original singer.

Another Great EP from Ghost

This EP has one original song, Square Hammer, that is one of the catchiest songs the band has written to date. The rest of the EP is compiled of covers that are a different pace than fans may be used to, but sure enough become as enjoyable as anything else in the band's catalog after a few listens, despite being a little off from what may have been expected.

Square Hammer is a work of art. The rest of the EP is cover songs. Nothing to write home about, but not terrible by any means. I defiantly recommend giving it a listen!

I heard some earlier tracks by Ghost and liked the intriguing but melodically accessible sound from this Swedish band. I particularly like the tradition of Swedish heavy-metal, that of being heavy but melodically interesting (like Soilwork and In Flames). When this EP came out, aside from the covers, I thought the original material would be more along that vein of being melodically interesting. But I found it to be quite predictable sounding, even bordering on a boring pop sound - and not what I was expecting. Though not completely awful, I'm a bit disappointed with this record. I'm also not too wild about the macabre religious satire - a bit too gimmicky for me.
