Mounting is very easy to use. It stays on the dashboard with no problems.

This is a perfect addition to the Garmin Nuvi that I bought. It fits snuggly on the platform on my Subaru dashboard ... plugged into the cigarette lighter adaptor. It does not move around under normal driving conditions and affords excellent viewing when I am driving or when I am a passenger.

I gave this to my husband as a Xmas gift. He absolutely LOVES it. He mentions how well it performs every time he drives any distance, and uses his GPS. He never removes it from his dash, merely pops the Garmin out. He says it doesn't slide, or move around. It was a great choice.

I need a way to use my GPS while on the road; this stand is light weight and easy to pack in my luggage. It is very stable on the dash and now I don't leave those annoying circles on my windshield from the traditional suction cup mounts!

It stands in place doesn't slide around. I was skeptical at first but it does what it supposed to do, keeps the GPS in place. Be sure you clean your dash first, the sticky part on the bottom of the stand grabs everything and it is difficult to get off. Expect to see hair and dust on it over time.

Like this setup better than way up by the window mirror because you can put it in a place to reach...I seem to change the options alot when on a trip...and have short arms so putting on the dash is more accessible. wish it stuck and laid flatter but it is at least doable.

For some reason, the windshield mount that cam with this would not stay put on my windsheild. I purchased this so that I could have this sit on the dashboard. It is the perfect height and stays put. It doesn't "stick" to anything, but has a sort of sticky bottom surface which precents it from sliding around.

Holds to the dash very well. I use it I my Class A RV and have three different Garmin GPS units. All 3 attach and the stand holds it position even when I reach and use the touch screen.

This dash mount is easy to use and does not move when driving and sharp turns. I live down a long rough driveway and even with my 7'' GPS attached to it, it does not move. I've even tried to see if I could make it fall over and it would not fall over. The only down side is that it will leave a wet look on the dashboard where it sits. I just unplug the GPS from the power cord when I reach my destination and place the GPS and dash mount between my van seats out of sight so I'm not leaving a easy sign saying here's my GPS come take me.

Sits on dash top perfectly. Does not move when starting, stopping or turning. Works far better than a window mount as those tend to fall off the window periodically. Liked it so much got one for the wife's vehicle. Needs a relatively level spot on the dash to be placed.

This base conforms to your dash board (there's a metal strip inside the rubber base) so no matter where you place it, it stays put. Easily adjustable, angles for minimum sunlight distraction.

The suction holder for the gps would always fall from the window when I hit any type of bump, I purchased the base that the suction hooks to, same issue. This unit is great! It’s small and holds the unit tightly and ensures the unit will not fall.

This product made sense instead of buying additional suction cup reolacements for your garmon that wear out. This doesn't wear out and maintains its grip on your dash. I bought multiple suction cups so far it's been 6 months and this one is going great

Bought this for my 2016 Ford F-150. It did not work because the dash was not flat enough to get a good suction. Though it would not work I can tell it is a good product for other vehicles. Just check your dash first.

I bought this one for my Garmin GPS since it looked much more compact than the other previous model. While I was a bit hesitant if it was going to do the job, I was quite surprised by how well it kept the GPS in place. Even while taking some sharp turns around curvy roads, the GPS stayed in its place without any movement. Thanks for this mount. I will be getting one more of this for my minivan.

Since the first day, it has stayed where it was placed and is in easy sight and reach from the driver's seat. It is easy to lift off dash and lay on floor for security while you run into a store.

This Garmin Portable Auto Friction Mount gives you an alternative way to mount your Garmin Nuvi from the windshield mount. It will sit on the dash or on my console. In my state it is against the law to mount on windshield. So, a great alternative!

At first I thought that this device would fall over or become jarred enough to fall off the dash, but it seems to be heavy enough to stay in place. I feel that this device is necessary, for it is my understanding that is against Wisconsin law to mount a GPS on the windshield, although this law is rarely enforced.My only complaint is that I feel it is rather expensive for the purpose it serves.

I have only used it a few times, but so far I like it. The base is flexible and can be adjusted to different dash types, the arm is sturdy and the ball joint holds the GPS clip just fine. Good alternative to the windshield suction clip.
