Works quit well for the price especially. And it's kinda nice not looking at your standard cap all the time.

This capacitor works great!! No more dimming lights in my car... I'm running a 1000watt amp powering 2 alpine type r subwoofers.. I was hesitant at buying this at first because everyone was just telling me to buy a high output alternator.. Those are like $500.. So I ended up buying this instead of spending that large amount of money! This capacitor is awesome! This capacitor also helps with the sound quality of your subwoofers.. The bass in my car is sounding a lot more crisp now.. I love it! Did I mention that it looks cool??? I would definitely recommend professional installation of this product due to this coming with a small resistor that you have to put in between the power wire and the capacitor during the install. It's only $39.99 to install this at your local bestbuy + plus the cost of the capacitor kit which is around $25 well worth the price though!

This is great if your running 1100watts and below. but the rule of thumb is one farad for one thousand watts. This is a five farad and so 5 thousand watts right? but not the case. only running 3600watts and still dimming even with zero gauge wiring. got the cap tested and the five farad is a front. dont remember what is actually was but it was nowhere close. decent price but sometimes it pays to purchase name brand, especially when mudding can hurt your subs and amp. overall not bad just not great.

i'm running a 650 watt amp with two '09 kicker comp 10" subs and the capacitor shows that its working but my headlights still dim and my battery gauge goes down from around 15 to the 12-13 range. capacitor shows its storing 14 volts and goes down only to 12 or 11 volts when bass hits yet everything still dims. nothing improved and i wouldn't waste your money. i'm gonna return mine. i'd spend the extra money and get the 30-farad capacitor or get a different brand.
