This is what should have been released all along instead of individual volume sets and the made on demand complete series set. I bought both this latest release and the DVD-R version from Best Buy and I could tell by the weight alone which one has better quality. I also bought Volumes 1 & 2 before the complete series was released in one set. This new release is a repackaging of volumes 1-5 into one DVD set. It still does not include the holiday specials or Clash movie, but you can save a lot of shelf space and money by buying this set instead. I like the cover art on the front of the DVD-R more because it matches the Super Samurai set, but they both look good and other than replacing the lightning bolts with bars it's essentially the same case art with very little difference. The disc art on this set (same as Volumes 1-5) looks way better than the basic DVD-R disc art in my opinion. Definitely get this even if you already have the DVD-R set because it's way better quality and it'll last longer over time. However, if you have the individual volumes 1-5 I would recommend you pass on this set because it's exactly the same DVD's except without all the nice case art.
