The PowerA Wired Controller for Switch is a Mario-themed gamepad that's: ** Plug & Play:** No setup, just grab and game! ** Familiar Feel:** Buttons are where you expect, Mario moves like a dream. ** Comfy Grips:** Perfect for long gaming sessions. ️ Secret Weapon Buttons: Map them for epic combos. Headset Hero:** Plug in and immerse yourself in the game. Wallet-Friendly:** Won't break the bank. ** Not-So-Good:** ❌ Wired: No wireless freedom. No Rumble or Motion:** Feels basic. Built Light: Might not survive intense gaming. Mushy D-pad:** Precision platforming can be tricky. Mario Only:** Not for everyone. the cord is not interchangable and so the controller won't last long ** Verdict:** A fun, affordable option for casual Switch fans, especially Mario enthusiasts. Not for hardcore players or those seeking bells and whistles.

This controller is SO CUTE!!!! It's very light and feels a bit hollow, but honestly that just makes it more comfortable to hold. And while at first I thought the re-mapable buttons were a neat feature that I'd likely never actually use, I was dead wrong. They are super useful, especially if you have issues with certain games causing your thumbs to hurt, you can just remap those buttons to the back of the controller and let your other fingers take some of the strain away from your thumbs. The only downsides that come to mind are that there's no gyro controls or HD rumble (or any rumble for that matter). I personally don't mind those exclusions, but some people might. However the exclusions I DO mind, are the lack of Amiibo functionality, and the apparent lack of ability to awaken the Switch from sleep mode. I tend to keep my Joycons nearby incase I need either of those functions, but people who are looking to replace their Joycons with this: Just know that you won't have gyro controls, rumble, Amiibo support, and if your console is docked you're gonna have to press the power button on the console itself to wake it up when it's in sleep mode.

So far so good!! I've only used these a couple of times so I dont know much about the durability, but for the light use given and occasional parties hosted with friends or siblings in which we play party games together, this guy definitely does a more than satisfying job. In fact, friends, siblings, and I prefer this over the switch joy cons! I like the grip and sturdy feel of these controllers and the ease of use which comes to the user intuitively. More over, I couldnt be happier that I got each for the excellent value of 12.49 each! now thats an offer that cant be beat!! the pikachu control has earjack slot and pro controls that the other designs (mario, zelda, plain black, etc., etc.) do not. &the cord is extremely long which is great because it gives the user access to sit anywhere they want and wont be forced to play besides the tv screen...so it allows a lot of flexibility.

We got these as starter controllers for when the switch is docked and they work and feel great. The cord is long and the Link design is cool. Well worth it snd it was a few bucks cheaper with Best Buy Plus.

Great comfortable controller, 10ft cord with it is great. There's a wireless version but I'm saving like $35 by buying this. My kid likes it and is comfortable for her as well.

A solid controller. As advertised: wired, no vibration, and no motion controls. Super lightweight (feels a little cheap). Not my primary controller. Don’t know if I’ll ever buy another wired controller, but that’s a personal preference.

I bought this on a whim when I had some friends over and we needed a 4th controller for Mario Kart. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I knew it would rarely see any use but I'm very happy with what I got for the money. The detachable USB cable is nice even if it is micro-USB instead of USB-C. The buttons and the joysticks are of very high quality and the programmable back buttons are nice to have. The design and ergonomics are nice, though I did find myself missing the rumble feedback playing with it. Overall I'd highly recommend for the price for anybody looking for an inexpensive extra Switch Controller.

Easy to hook up and play. Cable is surprisingly longer than i thought it would be still added a usb extender though. Controller is comfortable and the joysticks weren’t too loose or stiff.

If you’re used to JoyCons, this is going to feel a little different, but once I got used to it, I actually preferred it. Plus the design is cute and it’s really light in your hands. Overall, I love the remote. Here’s the drawback. The cord stopped working after only a week and a half! I know a 10 ft cord can be difficult to keep from malfunctioning when you’re building on a budget, but I’m now in the market for another cord thats more reliable. If you want a cheap alternative to JoyCons, I highly recommend the controller, but be prepared for future purchases if you want to keep using it.

Great alternative to using joy cons for games like Smash and Mario platformers. Hoping it doesn't have the drift issue that plagues the Pro controllers but only time will tell.
