This Zelda controller made a wonderful addition to my collection of Nintendo Switch items. I found this controller pretty decent for the price point. The buttons were responsive and the battery life was okay. I personally used rechargeable batteries [not sure if that was a no no or not] and found the controller to hold a decent charge before needing to recharge. Overall this controller is a good option if you are on a budget or you simply need an additional controller.

My son loved it. But I didn’t really pay attention to the fact that it uses batteries but. Other than that I like the controller. And so does my son

I have wrist problems so I was looking for a controller with buttons on the back that didn't weigh a ton, and this one fits the bill while not being too expensive. The buttons a a bit click-y and the joy sticks are a bit stiff but it fits my needs and works how I'd hoped so its perfect for me.

I bought this for my 6 year old son for his Switch. He absolutely loves it! It’s so much easier to use versus the joycons. It’s lightweight, but not cheap. It connects right away every single time. So happy with this purchase. I might even purchase a 2nd one.

Needed more controllers so my friends and I could play Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart but didn't want to spent 70 dollars on pro controllers. The biggest difference between these and the pro controllers are that the pro has vibration and is rechargeable but this takes 2 AA batteries. It works great and I have a pro controller so it was a great way to save money

The controller is great if you don’t care about vibration or using AA batteries. It also feels somewhat cheap and has rattly buttons but it’s worth getting over the pro controller if you don’t feel like spending the extra $20+

I love this controller and the design! It's great and easy to use, it requires 2 AA batteries which may turn off some people, but I have no problem with that. However I do only recommend this or any Power A wireless controller, if it is on sale. Paying $50 is a bit much, however I've gotten all of them for 39.99 or cheaper. So if on sale I recommend, if not than just fork over the extra $10 and get the official pro controller.

This is the controller you want to have if you are trying to avoid "Joy Con Drift". I have tried playing other games with the Joy Cons but that drift makes games less fun to play. They have wired controllers but I personally like wireless, just make sure you have double A batteries on standby because they drain quick. If you play regularly I'd say about 3 to 4 days and the batteries are done. Also they're not to big to handle, my 8 year old can press/reach all buttons with ease.

I recently got a switch lite an I felt the small analog sticks were akward to use as I kept pushing them in playing a high action game like Zelda so I wanted a better way to control it, an being the lite you need a wireless one plus it had Zelda look to it(which is cool with a gold color digital pad) unfortunately it takes only batteries no rumble( not a big deal) and it feels vary hollow...so I am now Im thinking of getting a regular switch that hooks up to my tv so I can get a better feeling controller... But it does feel better then controlling with the option it came with.. if you want travel only switch you can't go wrong if you have a switch with dock I suggest the more expensive one ten bucks more or something..ether way get Zelda an Mario best games so far.

I wanted to try a 2nd controller for my switch, so I got this one because it was cheaper, and had a familiar feel to it. I'm highly pleased as it was breeze to set up, the design is awesome, and it's wireless.

I love it, and I love that it’s wireless. My only complaint is that it’s not rechargeable, I switched to rechargeable batteries but I’d prefer a pack like my Xbox controller has.

These are way better than the pro controller and at a much cheaper price. The direction pad responds 19x better than the pro and it ways 1/2 as much. I higly recommend.

We bought one of each of the four skins - they are great replacements for malfunctioning joy-cons, and are easier for visiting holiday guests (who are new to Nintendo Switch) to figure out. Only minus is the amiibo-reading (NFC) functionality is not available on these, so if you use that in any games you will still need a controller/joy-con with that capability. Big Plus - they are very efficient, and last a long time between battery changes. For any family like ours with a tray of rechargeable AA batteries, these are a no brainer.

Good wireless controller that makes many games easier to play on the switch, especially Super Smash Brothers. Much better price than the original, so definitely worth the money.

Great controller overall, no issues what so ever. It's much lighter than most controllers, but personally I'm ok with that. It has full motion controls and that's a blessing for me personally because I have a cheaper left joycon that doesn't have wireless functionality so I had to undock the switch and use motion controls with the whole console. It was very frustrating in a game like Breath of the Wild. Unfortunately it doesn't seem possible to turn this "feature" off in at least that game and it's a requirement to progress through certain puzzles, so this controller is a God send.

We had a couple of these go bad, a little faulty. Third time the charm. Nintendo quality is usually great, probably just bad luck. Really cool Zelda design.

I have arthritis in my hands so holding the switch or joy con controllers gets painful fast. Being a big Zelda fan I love the look of this controller and I really need one this size if I want to play. Pros; skin design, size, so far does what it's intended to do. Very excited about how easily it connects to the switch after past system issues. Cons; I'm disappointed in the quality of the controller and the battery life. While the controller works it definitely feels cheaply constructed. It's not soft and comfortable to hold like most brand name controllers I've owned. The parts have a loose, cheap, plastic feel to them and batteries only last a few days of quarenteed time (which for me is an excessive amount of play time). Why make a bad controller? I would happily have paid more for this controller to have typical wireless controller features including being rechargeable. I did choose based on price and the Zelda design so that's on me. I wish I had researched more before buying but the little research I'd done left me confused about the differences between this and other full sized controllers for the switch. Hopefully this review will provide someone else with better insight.
