The battery pack is a good choice. Saves on batteries. After playing just put on charge and you're ready to go again.

I figured it would be a lot cheaper in the long run to get a rechargable set, and so far I am loving it. I have charged it the one time when I bought it, and once since then. I don't play a ton, but the charge also doesn't dissipate while it's not being used.

Even tho it came with batteries we used this from the beginning and haven't had issues. Sometimes rechargeable units don't hold a charge very long and I haven't experienced that with this unit yet.

My fiancee loves this because she's no longer going through batteries every week. Easy to install and always ready to go.

Great game. Don't really need this to play unless you don't like batteries. They don't go through them that quick.

Replacing batteries is annoying and expensive. Pop this bad boy in and all your troubles go away. Make sure to full charge it before use and it will last days :) Rock on!

I purchased the rechargeable kit rather than using primitive batteries. It's works exactly as the the product details just like the old ones did for the original Guitar Hero. And plus, it's less of a pain of switching batteries, unless you have rechargeable batteries, but those could be used for something else. So just buy it.

It's easy to charge and holds a charge for a pretty long period of time. I bought this a few weeks ago and still haven't had to recharge it. It fits right into the battery compartment of the controller. It's a good investment considering the price you can get it for now. Note: This does NOT work on the Rock Band 4 stratocaster guitar controller. I tried. :-)

This is a must have accessory for any Guitar Hero owner. If you really spend any time playing the game, I recommend this because it is extremely affordable and beats having to mess with actual batteries. I recommend buying two so you have a back up for the next marathon guitar hero session.
