It isnt super protective but it does enough as long your careful with it. I wouldn't trust it in the hands of airport security. It has slots for some physical games as well.

The hard shell feels sturdy and durable, providing excellent protection against bumps and drops. The soft interior lining keeps the screen and console free from scratches. The design is well-made.

Keeps the Switch safe in my backpack when I put it in an overhead bin or under the airplane seat in front of me. I also like how you can prop up the switch and set it on the tray table so I don’t have to hold the weight of the Switch the whole plane ride. I know the Switch has this feature built in but on the airplane I prefer to prop it up in this case because the case doesn’t slide around as much as just the Switch would with the built in kickstand
