This controller worked great with games like Zelda BOTW and Smash, which was the reason I bought it. However, as soon as I started using it, being consistently wired brought its limitations. I have two big dogs and them running around the couch while this controller is being used led to some butt clenching moments when they almost yanked the system off the entertainment system. The few times this happened was the last straw and I coughed up the money to buy the wireless version. Definitely worth the money in upgrade to being wireless. If you don't have these issues and don't mind being wired while playing or your prefer it, then this controller works great.

Review: The best ally for your Switch If you spend hours playing in TV mode, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is an investment that is totally worthwhile. Unlike the Joy-Con, this controller offers superior ergonomics that prevents hand fatigue during prolonged sessions. What stands out the most: Impressive battery: It offers up to 40 hours of autonomy on a single charge, far outperforming the competition. Comfort: The analog sticks are precise and the large buttons have a very satisfying touch. Integrated functions: Includes HD vibration, gyroscope for motion control and NFC reader for your Amiibo. Although the price is slightly higher than other third-party options, the build quality and reliability of the wireless connection make it the gold standard for any Switch owner.

Best analogy I can offer is 2% milk. It's milk and it does the body good, but you really wanted the whole fatty stuff. It's light, it won't rumble, it has a chord, it won't turn the system on, it won't read your prized Mario Amiibo. The buttons, triggers, and sticks don't feel like the premium Pro Controller. But it does the one thing you really need it for: plays Smash Ultimate quicker than any of the wireless controllers. If you want that much more response to beat Chad, then you should pick up one of these. That is, if you're too young to have a GameCube controller and 4-port adapter lying around. It's also a third of the cost. The 10' chord's removable for storage, but otherwise you have a piece of plastic if it's lost. Recommended, but as a back-up/default.

I really like the ergonomic feel of this controller. And nice and sturdy too. It doesn't creak when you twist it. I left one star out for the "key hole" usb port on top. It makes it difficult to plug in the cord. I feel like I'm gonna break it every time. Besides that I like the big control sticks and the other designs it has.

This controller was on clearance for $5 when I bought it. Its decent for the price and fine for my kids friends to use. I'm normally not a fan of wired controllers, but the cord is 10 feet long. The D-pad is the worst feature, but we hardly use it for most games. Excellent for the value and does work with Switch 2.

We got our daughter a Nintendo Switch and Mario Kart and she was having a hard time getting used to the little switch controllers. I knew this option was available and took a chance and she became accustomed to it so quick! Great product and easy to use.

It’s easy to set up and the wire is pretty long. It doesn’t feel cheap for the price. Good quality

Being a third party controller I was worried about it feeling cheap. But it is licensed by Nintendo. And it feels just fine in the hands. It does have a cable which does limit you a little bit, but the cable is pleasantly long enough for most rooms. I like that the cable can be removed from the controller and replaced with a different one if you need to. Don’t let the removable cable fool you, it is not wireless and will not work without the cable.

Great for the price! Works fine with Switch 2 and has a super long detachable cable (micro-usb though).

Fifteen dollars is an amazing deal. Has a 10 foot cable so doesn't really matter that it's not wireless.

This does not have motion control & is not wireless but is a solid and cheap choice if you just need a controller for your switch console. My kids (and myself sometimes) have a habit of breaking the joycons so this is a great option for most of the games they play (Minecraft, Mario Maker, Odessey, Sonic & Mario Olympics) which I'm less worried about breaking.

Feel and Quality of the controller in nice. Not wireless. The USB wire is longer, so you can sit further back more. I wanted this because I do not have to wait for the controller to charge when battery is drained. The draw back is this controller does not have the motion sensors, like the Joy Cons. Can not use this with games where you need to tilt the controller.

Needed to be able to add more players when we have family gatherings. It was a good way to be able to do that without spending a lot for something that was not going to be used daily. The controller works well and even plays better when you are used to having the gaming controllers vs. the switch controller. My kids prefer the gaming controller, even though it is wired. Makes the games more enjoyable for them.

Got 4 of these with an Insignia™ - 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub and am able to use all 4 at the same time on the switch. The controllers feel pretty quality for how low priced they are. Only things I wish for was that it used USB C instead of USB Micro b and that the controllers have rumble. Although rumble would probably add more to the price so just USB C would've been nice.

I have always wondered about new controllers that are wired but I didnt know the cord would be so long! This corded nintendo controller made it possible for me to game from my sofa and not worry about the cord not being long enough. My inner child is happy!

I loved wired controllers personally since there's no need to worry about batteries. I love how this is similar to a Xbox controller. I love the price as the original Joy Con controllers are too expensive IMHO. I'd recommend this controller to anybody looking for a cheap alternative to buying more Joy Cons.

Very good wired controller compared to what you pay. The buttons are responsive and have no problems so far. Good for people that play mostly in docked mode since there's so need to sync and it is almost impossible to use undocked without a specific adapter. It doesn't have motion controls or rumble but it's also less than half the price of a pro controller.

But it's always the first one that gets stick drift. And sticky buttons, and I always clean it. But it never alleviates any of the problems afterwards. Hence, me buying twenty of them.

[Employee of bestbuy] Perfect little controller for the price. A lil light weight, if you’re hard on controllers I would suggest a sturdier model. It does work with my Switch Lite just fine. Had to get a stand for it elsewhere.

Found this item on clearance whilst picking up my Switch 2! It serves its purpose. The buttons are sturdy. The cord length is good, although the cord doesnt want to stay straight, causing a risk of pulling the switch off the shelf.
