I ordered this to replace my Mophie because the Mophie case would crack if dropped and this one is rubber so I wouldn't have that issue. It comes only with a USB cord for charging using USB. Since I charge my phone at night I used an old plug from a blackberry and plugged the cord it came with into that. If the case and battery were both low in charge the phone would continuously beep back and forth as if it was being plugged in then unplugged. As you can guess this is not good while you are trying to sleep. I decided to return the case until I tested plugging it into a computer to charge. The beeping didn't happen. So then I tested connecting the USB cord to an old iPod plug and it worked fine with no beeping. So I kept it. I haven't used the plug off a newer iPhone since the old one worked. After charging the phone and case it automatically keeps charging your phone until the case battery is dead. Since I like to conserve the case battery in case my fiancé's phone dies before mine he can use, it I have to remember to press and hold the button on the bottom of the case to turn off the charge and conserve it for when either I need it or I want to lend it to him. Durability wise it seems better than the Mophie air. I can't tell of the charge lasts as long as the Mophiecbecause my iPhone battery just doesn't last as long in general. I think that's the phone and not an issue with the case.
