Just started playing, definitely more complex than the original, but the design seems to have returned to the original simplicity of the first. Don't like the auto demo parts but still fun none the less.
I would recommend this to a friend

After playing the original on PSP, Disgaea 3 was quite a let down for mechanics and story. Disgaea 4 improved on both and also upped the graphics quite a bit. Not a bad series entry at all.

I think this game is a nice improvement over Disgaea 3. The character world is no longer random, which is great.
