One of my most anticipated titles of 2014. I was expecting a Halo 2 Anniversary edition, but this is so much more. Not only are we getting that, but we are also getting all 3 other titles of the Master Chief saga to date. All of them now running in HD 1080p, 60fps, in their original engines, on dedicated servers.
This is a godsend to Xbox One owners who were a fan of Any of the Halo games. In addition to getting Halo 1-4 all on one disc, with everything unlocked. We also get access to Halo 5's Multiplayer Beta in December, in addition to Halo: Nightfall. The live action series currently in production.
November 11th, can't come soon enough.

The games look great, especially Halo and Halo 2 in remastered view. The cinematics for Halo 2 look the most amazing, if I didn't know better I would almost say the used live action (actually they did use motion capture to get the realistic movements).
Anyways, the games play just like they used to, same feel and everything. You can easily switch between the new and old graphics for Halo and Halo 2 instantly, unlike the 3 second delay on Halo Anniversary for Xbox 360. So far I have played through the beginning of Halo all the way to the first mission of Halo 3 so I can't give a full review.
I haven't tried the multiplayer other than messing around on one of the new Halo 2 Anniversary maps to try out the new features available, which I did like. Plus I heard people were having a lot of issues with the online matchmaking through November so I waited (maybe to long).
But I would say the game is with a buy if you loved the previous games, especially if you can get it on sale like I did.

What more can be said about this collection of games that hasn't already been stated? Incredible value for one of the most beloved series of videogames ever. You have the opportunity to relive the full Master Chief story with added features or experience it in its most complete and updated form available. Beyond the campaigns of Halo: CE through Halo 4, you are receiving the full package of multiplayer maps and the largest suite of game types and playlists created for Halo. We all know Halo multiplayer is the bread and butter of the series and what put it on the map. You can't beat the amount of content and excellent design that is present throughout the collection. You will not be disappointed.

Bungie/Microsoft made a documentary about the Halo 2 Anniversary and after 15 minutes I knew that I absolutely needed to buy the Xbox One. The amount of work that was put into Halo 2 Anniversary blow your mind. I had been refusing to buy it because of the staggering price tag and I already have a 360, but the video changed my mind. That and Best Buy just dropped the price on the Assassins Creed number to 349.99. Couldn't pass it up. Act fast before the sale ends or they are out of stock.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a great collection. You get 4 main campaigns to four different Halo games plus tons of additional content. Weill worth the money.

This is a massive collection of the 4 previously released Halo games starring Master Chief. Just single player campaigns alone will be 40+ hours of gameplay. Plus multiplayer. 4500 achievement score. If you're a fan of Halo, you need this in your Xbox One collection.
As of this review, the multiplayer matchmaking and co-op lobby issues have been improved but not perfect. There are still issues with parties getting split up or lost in matchmaking, or some long wait times for multiplayer lobbies to fill. I believe 343 will fix the issue in the near future so I did not -1 star.

A MUST have if you a huge HALO fan.
I've played all the HALO since one the original Xbox. I have to say...this a steal getting this game. You get all the 4 Halo games thus far in 1080P and 60fps with all the MP maps. The multiplayer has been fixed and been running smoothly if you have any concerns...
The anniversary edition treatment for HALO: CE and 2 were amazing. If you want to revisit the story and game before HALO 5 and this is a great way to refresh your memory.
Definitely add this great game to your library...along with HALO 5. :-)

Having grown up on Halo 2 and a ton of Halo 3, this game was a great addition to my Xbox One. Luckily it came with my console bundle cause i was going to buy it anyway. It's great having 4 different campaigns and they are constantly updating the multiplayer. If you grew up playing Halo or are looking to play them for the first time, this is a fantastic experience on the new generation Xbox.

If you are a gamer, this is a must buy video game. Even if you are not familiar with the franchise, this is your opportunity to get to know it and get to love it.
Halo is by far my favorite video game franchise. It is the game that got me to buy the first Xbox and the game I love the most.

I could care less about multiplayer, that's why I don't buy bunch of games, exp: cod. I love a great game with great story and music. Halo is the greatest game ever made, hands down. I played all the great shooters and all but nothing touches Halo. MCC is the single best buy(pun intended) you can get. Graphics have improved into current gen standard and you have 4 amazing games playable at will. This is the bugatti veyron of video games!

These games are all remastered versions and in the campaign mode you can alternate between the original graphics or the newer ones. This is particularly cool to do for Halo CE (1). Lets be honest, most of us got into xbox and multiplayer because of halo 2 and its nice to relive all those moments again in these good games. Although the server has been down all week so playing online isn't possible the campaign is still good

I've been a Halo fan since close to the beginning of owning an Xbox 360. After first getting my 360, I played some Halo 2 to get a feel (and liked it). But I stopped at JUUUUST the right time so I didn't get too much revealed. I first officially started late 2006, with finishing 2 early '07. I'm glad I didn't have to wait too long to "finish the fight" - although it never was finished! But ever since playing the original three, I've never stopped being hooked. I've bought all the subsequent releases at launch day (one just after, but close enough). So when this came out, after having dug the Halo CE anniversary. So I was super stoked of this package when I heard of it.
Getting the same games? Yeah, that it may be, but the work they did on the campaigns were enough for the admission price. And those cutscenes (and the redone audio)... If this is the closest to a Halo movie we can get then I'll be content.
Beyond that, WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE MULTIPLAYER?! I know that's a load of content to keep up with, but they had to have underestimated the demand for playing all of those maps in all the different ways we loved. I wish it could've been handled better on the matchmaking, but I was let down. They're getting better. But just realized that if you want to play online, it may not be what you expect.
Overall, the MCC is a great value for campaigns, and when the multiplayer works, it's a hoot. I wish it worked great from day one, but I have to be a cynic and say that even though the package is a wonderful set, it just hasn't been properly utilized.

First and foremost: 343 Industries really tried to tackle a monumental task by putting this collection together. They heavily succeeded in some areas and fell short in others.
When it comes to the "campaign" mode... it's flawless! The updated Halo 2 treatment is worth the $60 bucks alone! If the campaign is what you cherish, you have a gold product just waiting to be played.
The multiplayer matchmaking is a different story. While many people have had some success getting into games, most have not had such luck. There have been patches to correct the issues, but sadly they've either not worked as intended or have actually caused more negative issues that weren't there to begin with.
If you're buying the game strictly for multiplayer... wait. Let 343i fix this aspect of the game first.
I gave this game 4 stars because it really is a wonderful game. It's HALO!!! Who doesn't like Halo? If the multiplayer worked correctly this game would easily be 5 stars and would have "game of the year" attached in my opinion.

Halo is what got me into xbox. And since they announced the Masterchief Collection, it was a good thing i got an xbox one. Great game for a great console! Worth buying and soon to be played!

When I first heard this was announced, that a game with halos 1-4 would be available for xbox one I was thrilled. Then I saw the price, it's a steal. Why are wasting time reading this, just buy it.

Brings back memories from the early 2000’s playing as the legendary Master Chief. Playing as a near invincible hero using epic sci-fi weapons to bring down the Covenant. The graphics are breath taking on the Halo 2 remaster and playing these amazing master piece games is better than ever before on the most recent Xbox! Each game works wonderfully with zero issues and the online is still good with decent server connections. For any die hard Halo fan who looks up Master Chief buy this game and your science fiction paradise dream world can be long lived.

I was there at midnight when the original Xbox was released. I wanted a different game but they were sold out...so I bought this unheard of game. I wasn't a fan of 1st person shooters...but this game totally changed my mind. I love this series and to see it again with the clarity and definition of the XB1 is great. I wish the language wasn't too sharp so my kids could enjoy it, but I understand that kids aren't the intended audience. I won't let them play GTA or COD but this would have been fun. Still holds up as a great set of games!
