Still playing even after Halo 5

Great game, despite all of the issues at launch. My friends and I still gather every week and sit down and play this for hours on the couch. If you want to play Halo in a local multiplayer setting, this is the game to have. Also fun that you can play through the original campaigns also.

    Unbeatable Value in a Game

This game is a great introduction for somebody that's never played Halo, but it is probably even better for those who have played it to revisit the game. The improved visuals and sheer amount of content is unbelievable.

This is a great game for halo players if you liked the first editions of halo. I was really into the first halos so I liked this game a lot but then again I got bored real fast because it's literally just the old upgraded versions all packed in one but it's an overall fun game to play.

Halo is my favorite video game series and this is an awesome game to own to replay Halo 1-4, however I feel like 343 should have seen all these bugs before release. The multiplayer barely works right now. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

This is definitely the best hd remaster of any games I've ever purchased but the ball was definitely dropped on the multiplayer side. They are working on fixing the online matchmaker problems but this was horrendous in the beginning.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection brings all of the numbered Halo games together into one tidy package. The best part is that they've remastered all of them and you have the ability to go back and forth between the original versions to see the HUGE difference.

    Great Games And Deal

the amount of content these 4 games have is easily worth $60 but the fact that it includes so much you get a Halo Tv series directed by Ridley Scott and the Halo 5 MP Beta definitely a must buy for all Xbox One owners

Fun.But not as fun as I remember.

I haven't played Halo since halo 3 on the Xbox 360. I traded in my Xbox for a PS3 a year after the game was released. I loved Halo 3 and have very fond memories of it. So of course when I heard about the Halo MCC edition I was ecstatic. wont say it was the sole reason I bought the system but it was definitely a contributing factor. My experience with Halo MCC is not of broken multiplayer or other issues already covered adnausium in reviews and critiques. My experience is when I bump it up the call of duty AW I just don't find it as fun. I fell like I am running in jello, the weapons feel under-powered and the graphics aren't enhanced enough to make it a wow visual experience. I would say worth the buy but come in with low expectations and you will be happier.

    Good while the trial lasted.

I bought this to play guardians multiplayer and the trial is now over so it sits. I like that you can play any of the halo's 1-4 and maps are mixed for multi but progress is not updated from prev games. You basically have to start all over in all.

Great collection of games in one, updated graphics but the online part seriously needs to be fixed. I would wait a couple months when the price goes down and then buy it, hopefully they fix the online problems by then.

4 Great Halo games in One

You get Halo 1, 2, 3 and 4 in one bundle. Not to mention that they have been remastered for the Xbox One. Personally, my favorite is Halo 2. You can't go wrong with all four of the Halo games in gorgeous HD on the Xbox One.

I hadn't really been into the halo saga b/c I didn't play them before and getting them in less then 720p was lame so Picking up this was right up my ally. it's four games in one and in the xbox one. how great is that. love it!!!

    Good game for story mode

I would only recommend this game if you want to replay the 4 Halo stories only. Multiplayer is not good at all. It's difficult to find a matchmaking game and when a game is found, all the pro players are gaming and is very difficult to win a match.

Great game (s) but even with new update I can't get in a multiplayer match. It just searches and sesrches. Otherwise it's great. Tons of features. This is the Halo version of The Orange Box. Highly recommend picking it up.

Fails to capture what made Halo so great

First off, this game's rating is very skewed. Tons of people rated it 5-stars before it was even released. Everyone plays through the campaigns, but what Halo is really about is the online play. Halo revolutionized online gaming with their ranking system and lobby setup. However, the MCC fails miserably with multiplayer. First, there's only one ranked lobby, though there are supposedly many more on the way. My all-time favorite is SWAT, but being put in the same game as others who would rank MUCH higher than me is absolutely no fun. Certain game types absolutely need ranked lobbies. Second, you have to join a new lobby after every single game. No more staying with the same group game after game. You're not likely to make any new friends online, because you're not matched with them long enough to notice who's who. Having to join a new lobby also increases the amount of time you wait for a new game, since the system is trying to group up to 16 new people instead of just adding a few to replace those who left. And speaking of waiting for a game, I spend probably twice as much time waiting for a game than I do actually playing. Sometimes it sets up a game just fine. Sometimes it drops half the players as it's loading the map. Sometimes it just sits forever looking for more players. Many times, I get bored of waiting and decided to do something else. As far as the campaigns go, they're mostly good. There is some rare freezing, and Halo: CE is a little glitchy in ways (Covenant running into corners, weapons getting stuck on slopes, etc.), but still totally playable. If you're hoping for great online play, wait a while for the bugs to be worked out.

The Halo series is one of my favorite franchises of all time. There are and were a lot of problems with the online part of this game, but I had a great time just playing through all of the campaigns again.

A great compilation of earlier Halo games. Multiplayer essentially non-functional, however this is not important to me. Microsoft will add another title (Halo:ODST) to the compilation in recompense for the multiplayer issues.
