This game has flashes of the series as a whole; however, it does not hit the same heights as other previous titles.

The feature of having a teammate sounded cool at first, but man does it take away alot of the excitement. The fact that your partner is also a wimp and "dont like firearms" also makes it less fun for your buddy who plays. Zombies are more like mutants in some sense as they seem to be more inline with "crazed mental patients". Go for another horror game

No DLC is added, and the dlc is expensive imo. I would recommend watching youtube videos and learning how much the dlc will cost before buying it. The retail version is a hard pill to swallow tbh.

From The Co-Op Perspective ...

Resident Evil Revelations 2, a sequel to a game originally only released for the Nintendo 3DS, sees the Resident Evil series finding a nice balance between the old and the new. The gameplay mechanics themselves as firmly rooted in the series from Resident Evil 4 onward, although the overall atmosphere found throughout Revelations 2 is firmly rooted in the sentiments of the first couple of games. As such, this game becomes a winner for old and new fans alike.
Since I played through Revelations 2 strictly in the cooperative mode with my wife, I will write about it from that perspective. The set-up is ideal for one person who's more well-versed in gaming than the other because the first player controls the main offensive character while the second player operates the secondary character, meant to enhance the environment for the first. This can be done through the shining of a flashlight or even the pointing of a finger, although the second player isn't only relegated to such activity as they, too, can fight, albeit with less options, and explore the terrain for items. Overall, the game really compliments a dynamic that doesn't require two gaming experts so the speak, which is something my wife and I found particularly enjoyable. Like many "couch co-op" games, the screen is horizontally split so that each player has their own half of it.
Revelations 2 takes place in episodic form, as well, switching between two different pairs of characters each time. Each team has particular strengths and weaknesses that you will get to know as you progress through the game. Both teams can each carry items for one another that can be passed as long as the players are close, with inventory expansion options available if you're one to fully explore the virtual environments you're amidst. With that said, the game generally rewards exploration with useful items so it's highly recommended that you make your way through every possible nook and cranny.
I feel that Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a great experience overall, and is one I look forward to playing through alone at some point, just to compare that with the co-op mode. The isolation the island setting gives off is very effective, the enemies are foreboding and the progression of the storyline definitely keeps you on your toes. Overall, it's a solid horror gaming experience that is worth investing in if you're looking to play a game alongside somebody. Oh, and as a bit of a hint for uninitiated players, just because you can't see something doesn't mean it can't kill you! Good luck.

This case has a loose fit, especially around the volume buttons. I would not recommend this case for that reason.

As with RE Revelations I initially was uncertain if I'd like it, but ended up liking the first Revelations game for what it is, a decent non-numbered semi canon RE game. Revelations 2 is quite different than the first game and they've added a lot of new gameplay mechanics including stealth kills, and instead of the scanning device in Rev 1 now each partner character has the ability to scan for hidden items; Moira with her flashlight and Natalia with her 'sense' ability. This game has decent boss fight, not spectacular but fairly basic RE style bosses, but acceptably fun... but not too complex or challenging, just fun. Raid mode and the Moira extra episode add a lot of challenge for extreme gauntlet appetites for chaos and battling waves of enemies and mini bosses.
There are some slight bugs in the game but nothing that makes it unplayable. The AI can be stupid and allow you to exploit them by making them walk into walls trying to get to you etc. But out in the open spaces the AI can be relentless.
I think this is a great followup to the first Revelations, but does leave room for further refinement and improvements overall. I hope it sells well enough to allow for another sequel which the endings allude to.

This game is great, not exactly AAA quality but it's not supposed to be. It's a pulp episodic game with strong gameplay and shooting mechanics. Definetly an improvement of RE6, this one harkens back to the moody atmosphere of the originals.
