I received an Xbox One for Christmas so I could play this game because I am an avid Star Wars fan. I was immediately dumbfounded that there was no campaign mode. Without a campaign mode, it’s a pointless run and gun shooter. I do realize many people like that, but if you’re like me and like a game with more substance this is not for you. Don’t get me wrong it’s not all bad hence the 3 star review. The graphics are amazing and the game is immersive. As a Star Wars fan, it is fantastic playing on places like Hoth and Jakku with the famous characters. The Fighter Squadron allows to you fly X-Wing’s and TIE Fighter’s which makes it stand above the other run and gun shooters out there. I also really like that it is 2 player split screen. My other problem is I spent $69 already and now I need to spend another $49 for a season pass so I can play a pointless game on different worlds. I think I will pass unless a campaign mode is included.

bought this expecting at least a bit of a story mode. was sorely disappointed - only online multiplayer gaming.

My kids didn't like it. Unfortunately I'm not sure why the kids didn't connect with the game. But they don't play it!! $50 wasted

game is beautiful and so much fun to play. for all the complaints about not having a campaign, you should have done your homework. this game has always been what it is no more no less. only blame yourselves. true there is no campaign but there is like 10 game modes and more to come, beautiful maps and sound. and really a fun game to play online. i have about 30 hrs in it and its still good to me

The game had to be updated once it was placed into the Xbox. Also had trouble getting it to play.

worst game I have purchased. Is not what I expected it to be.

I know there are comments on this game not really having a campaign. And I'd normally agree, but after 30 or 40 years, I think we know the story well enough. And the new story isn't actually out as of yet. But the game is a beauty, and plays super well. I love the game modes. And the epic scale of some of these battles is amazing.

This newest iteration of Star Wars Battlefront may not be the same well executed shooter that the originals were, and while I may miss abusing ewoks, this game, for what it is, is extremely effective. This game oozes two things; star wars and battlefield. Dice knows weapons and flight mechanics better than anyone, and they didn't skimp here. If Battlefield had an online arcade mode, and there was a mod to skin that mode with perfectly executed star wars models, this is exactly what that game would be. Dice has stuck true to their vision of an immersive original trilogy shooter, and everything they have learned making battlefield has been implemented into making the beautiful star wars worlds they have recreated come to life. The DLC should add variety, but this game has kept my fiancee and I away from fallout and halo completely since we have picked it up. If I never want to take a game or of my console, if day or deserves 5 stars. Kudos dice.

First, do not judge this game based on critics reviews. There is no campaign and the game is not the same format as SW Battlefront 2 and gets judged poorly as a result. This is one of the best SW games ever made. High level of detail, sounds, crisp graphics and addictive PvP.

The game has potential. Solid foundation, wonderful sounds, everything works well, but it's content is seriously lacking. I have two major issues with this game. The first is that there are simply not enough maps to make this worthwhile. Most of the modes use tiny sections of the maps and it's just not engaging enough. The second is that in typical Battlefield structure, you need to earn your way to the best weapons, so if you're starting late, you end up at a serious disadvantage that is almost impossible to overcome. It's hard to get points with an inaccurate gun while others take you out across the map. Just too slow to build up characters based on the limited gameplay as mentioned. This game would be awesome if it came with 10 maps. I think every MP game should take note. 10 maps, while still not as good as it could be, gives a much better map rotation. It's Star Wars... Multiple planets, ships, settings, etc. Limitless potential for maps and you get 5 (4 on disc and 1 dlc). Would be fine if the game was $30 at release.

A lot of fun playing the multiplayer and the air battles but I wish there was some sort of campaign instead of what amounts to be warm up missions.

The reviews for this game so far have been spot on. It's FUN. Very fun. As a Star Wars fan, it is the truest recreation of the original films. You just feel like you are IN the movies, and the cinematic aspects of it are extremely rich. And it actually handles as a competent shooter - handling weapons feels solid and the games play tactically. But it is not super deep like other shooters that are available and will get old once the SW sheen wears off - but until then, it's fun as heck!

I am writing this review as a wife who purchased Star Wars-Battlefront Xbox One for her husband as a gift. Our household like many others are complete Star Wars fans (including our children), so when we heard that there would be a video game that would allow you to chose either the "dark side" or to become a Jedi as a player we were sold. I have watched my husband play this game countless times now and am simply amazed by the graphics and how real everything seems. It is definitely not your average video game, there was a lot of detail out into it and it is very obvious. Overall, I think it was a good purchase and we are very happy with it.

The game is a blast to play on-line. You really feel like you are playing the the Star Wars world. Big battles. It's a little short on content however

Star Wars Battlefront is an amazing game for those who love the Star Wars universe, the music, sound effects, visuals and gameplay make you feel like you are in the world of star wars. The only thing lacking is some map content and of course a legit single player story mode. But if all you are looking for is a pick up and play shooter game coated in Star wars then pick this up immediately!

Great game play, very awesome graphics, online play is really good. Really good game to get you ready for the movie :)

I know Gamers are bashing on this game for lack of modes and not being that "deep". But you won't find a better SW game that brings you right into the universe! The look and sound of this game are great. Is this game of the year? No... Is it super fun? YES! Also you don't need to amazing FPS skills to have a good time.

This game looks great but the game play is just not what I wanted out of a Star Wars game. It is great for the first weekend but after that it just becomes a game you don't play. When so many other great games are out you just don't enjoy this one as much.

What an action packed game! It is incredibly gorgeous and detailed true to the Star Wars universe. There is more to it than actual PVP battles against other players, the single player/coop campaigns are very entertaining as well. Not to mention all the fantastic aerial combat which is a blast. I bought the PC version and use an Xbox 360 wired controller for the flight which is integrated into the game seamlessly. A must have title for 2015 on any platform!
